Oh yeah that doesn't make 0 fucking sense after what he did at the end of 2.22. It seems there must have been script changes constantly because I remember it being delayed before.

Whatever the reason(s) it seems a lot of people are going to go into 4.0 with lower expectations.

i really fucking hated how Mari was demoted into nyan-girl, she was the best part of the second movie, and now she's just a fucking sidekick to Asuka, which was a shitty character to begin with.

i was glad she was riding on unit 3 on the second movie, i really was, but none of that fucking matters now

Shinji did NOTHING WRONG at ANY POINT for the ENTIRE MOVIE. He gets asked, then told, then BEGGED to pilot EVA until he finally does it, ACTUALLY SUCCEEDS (so he believes) and then after he wakes up and actually volunteers to pilot it again, they not only tell him to fuck off, they THREATEN HIS FUCKING LIFE and refuse to tell him ANYTHING about the circumstances of his absence. They express open loathing towards him and seem to expect him to have full knowledge of the events, even though he was FUCKING ASLEEP THE ENTIRE TIME.

I don't blame him at all for giving Misato the middle finger and going with Rei. He asked them multiple times to explain what's going on and they wouldn't do so. They gave him no reason whatsoever to listen to them other than threatening to MURDER HIM if he didn't do what they say.

He finally finds someone who not only is willing to explain what is going on at least somewhat, but proposes a (they both believe at least) doable solution to fix the entire problem. He picks himself up and willingly does so again, only to fail, once again by no fault of his own. Of course he is blamed for the entire thing.

Fuck all of them. They all deserve death in the worst way possible. "Man up?" Man up from what? He manned up the entire movie. Any question he had towards anyone was rejected. What do you expect with that kind of treatment? What exactly do you want him to do, Asuka? Rape you? Probably so, you little bitch.

i have no idea where anno was trying to do with this, but i honestly can't find any part of the movie enjoyable, it's like they took everything i liked out of the rebuild movies and just fucking shit on it.

Mari? wavers between Asuka's non-effective sidekick, nyan-bitch

The only thing that makes sense out of the entire movie was Ritsuko getting her butch haircut, really

Consider the situation.

He was more than willing to step up and help at the start, but got unconditionally refused, which didn't make him a bitch. He just got pissed off and left (sensible)

After that he was upset because Rei didn't remember shit, which is also sensible considering he believed himself to have saved her life and had a lot of character development with her.

He broke down after he got told the situation, but come on. Everything he believed to be his entire motivation was turned against him.

He was depressed for a while, but actually got over it and was more than willing to try to fix it. Not a bitch.

Of course though that's no good either, since all of that is a lie. He's totally mindbroken at the end, but really, he got a huge shit sandwich. I don't blame him.

Well, this movie did a great job of making me feel like Shinji and not knowing what the hell is going on and just wanting the movie to tell me things but it didn't.

Can't wait for the complete troll ending that I fully expect 4.0 to be.

As far as i know he wants to recover his wife using the SELEE plan and adding his twist on it. I'm probably wrong because it's evangelion but pfff just saw the third movie and as some have said above i have no fucking clue what's going on anymore
