Same thing to me.
When I travel to other countries, I take everything as 1 to 1. Converting shit just gives me the illusion that "omg it's so cheap/expensive"

wop is so desperate that he's posting balance sheets, jesus christ
If nothing else, this topic should stress the fact that if you are getting married, and you send out invitations, tell your guests what the fuck to wear.
I mean, if you say "semi-casual", that narrows down the choices a lot.
My wedding was formal. We said "formal attire requested". Our female guests were in long dresses and formal gowns, and our male guests wore suits and tuxes. There was no confusion.
It sucks that (from what I'm reading at least) some of you are being invited to these weddings where the hosts aren't curteous enough to let the guests know the expectation for the event.
"Black Tie Optional" is my favorite specific-yet-ambiguous wedding dress code of the moment.
It's like, "You're allowed to wear the most formal thing possible to my wedding, but you don't have to." or "We would make our wedding Black Tie, but we're afraid you wouldn't show up then so just wear whatever."
Solanis, wanna go shopping?
always.
lol @ your new sig solanis
lol I'm glad you like it archi, positive response so far to the little dude's antics
Well, to be completely fair, it might be my friend messing things up. I asked him what it said on the invitation, but he doesn't even have it anymore. I guess don't attend weddings with nerdy guys who don't give a damn about dress codes. At least the wedding present is his problem and not mine.
Haven't heard of, definitely gonna check them out when in US.
On the topic of suits, and one needs a bit of lead-up for measurement and delivery, but I wanted to plug Indochino (http://www.indochino.com/) a firm started by a guy I knew from University.
Basically, you get made-to-measure suits, pants, shirts, and a selection of accessories, crafted overseas where labour costs are low but highly skilled (no sweat shops, these guys run a good ship) and then mailed to you. Any further alterations are free. Suits start from $350 USD and go up from there, but I think a two-piece tops out at around $550. Shirts, also made-to-measure, start at $80, no more expensive than some ill-fitting shirt you'll get at a department store. The fabric is high quality and you're getting something built to your measurements from the start, not an off-the-rack suit cropped down to your frame.
They've got all sorts of positive press in both the fashion and business world, and it's really worth a try.
Uh $80 for a shirt at a department store? Where are you shopping?
And is it possible to get a nice peacoat that isn't a million dollars?
Shirt?
