The only issue I had with that episode is how easily they got rid of the hired mercs, who are supposed to be professionals. Part of me says they arnt really dead.

Well, I don't their C4 went off early. I think the main guy had some planted in the tunnel they were escaping through. He calls to tell them the job is over/get out and since they were probably working with a rehearsed schedule he know roughly when to blow the C4 to kill them. That way he doesn't have to pay them and he cuts off that line of investigation that leads back to him.

I really think that episode could have been two parts because the ending was kind of rushed but it is too early in the season for that.

Great episode. Loved the quip about Castle solving crimes even when he's a hostage.

One thing though, they need to stop bringing in known actors as guest stars, it totally spoils the entire who done it theme, cus as soon as you see someone you know on the show especially a known actor you know oh its him! he did the murder LOL, its been like that for that last couple episodes. My wife was like oh look who is on castle, and we are like damn that means he/she is the killer. lol

While I don't disagree with that, Nana Visitor was also in the episode, and the guy who hosts the dog show or whatever has been around for like 8 million years. So it was definitely one of those two, or Mr. Green Arrow. My bet was on Nana Visitor, as I figured she can be all nice and all evil bitch, while Mr. Green Arrow doesn't seem capable of being a bad guy at all

It makes me sad that it seems like there aren't many BGers watching this show. I can understand why they bring in known actors/actresses to play the killer roles even if I don't agree with it. Castle doesn't exactly rip up the ratings. I'm sure the thought is that if they bring in some familiar faces it could always boost up the ratings. With the Chuck series finale now come and gone Castle is pretty much my only non sports reason to watch tv. Well Castle and Archer.

Broadcast has Hawaii 5-0, NCIS & LA, and The Mentalist, all have great characters. (Well, with 5-0 it's mainly Caan pulling the weight, but damn is he good at it.) The Finder may be good too, but it may need a bit more time to work the kinks out.
Cable has White Collar, Psych, Burn Notice, Leverage.

And that's just sticking close to Castle in humor and genre
