I would be unsurprised if they changed the afterglow effect before putting it on the real server and never told us. Mostly because their recent attitude has been "HEY PLAYERBASE. FUCK YOU!"

Maybe they'll eventually see that there was no point in adding a trial for Afterglow when nobody cares to waste years doing it.
I know I'd be happy only doing the first trial to get the +40% weaponskill damage/increased double damage and leave it there.
It's ridiculous how Ochain/Aegis only get their afterglows every 4-5 minutes when Shield Bash is up, they'd have to make the afterglow last for at least half of the Shield Bash recast to even be worth it.

Also Legion looks awesome, sounds like a buffed up version of Einherjar which used to be my favourite event back in the day. Yay for going back to treasure pool rewards and moving on from the voidwatch bullshit

Also, for some reason, SE took one of the NINE unused zones, which had just a "crystal_00" mob/npc in it, and changed it to:

I doubt the trials will have anything to do with the afterglow trial items. That would be even more of a roadblock for anyone crazy enough to try and do them. All 300 relics on the server would have to get their ADL items before you would even have a chance to start working on your trial. It will probably be another kill trial but I wouldn't be surprised if it was ADL and PW to get some of those items on to the market.

Emp 95 -> 99 (/w afterglow) = 3000 clumps of riftdross. Really. On Test server.

Relic 95 -> 99 (/w afterglow) = 1000 vials of umbral marrow.
