I felt this before they announced the alternative easier trials, but I really can't complain anymore if they make the shit doable. Legion sounds great, and I don't have an incredible desire to quit if they make it possible to actually 99 our weapons. Afterglow is worthless epeen anyways.

Are the trials for the easier versions actually in the test server yet? If not I'm thinking that they threw that shit up as a massive because of the overwhelming negative response both here and on the OF. Either way I'm not playing their game anymore, shit is not worth it.

Stage 1
Possible upgrades will include damage, delay, and weapon skill damage along with other attributes.
The planned difficulty level for the corresponding Magian upgrade trials will be such that a majority of players with the appropriate level 95 equipment will likely be able to complete them.
*This content is not yet available on the test server.
　
Step 2
Possible upgrades will include special animations along with "Afterglow" effects that grant status benefits to party members.
The corresponding Magian trials will be exceedingly difficult to complete, such that only a select number of PCs will be able to upgrade weapons to this stage.
*Gjallarhorn and Daurdabla may not be imbued with Afterglow effects.

- normal hits - 110-120 dmg
- crits - 220-240 dmg
- crits x2 - 430-500 dmg
where are these 800+ dmg hits from?

- crits - 220-240 dmg
- crits x2 - 430-500 dmg

this is the step 2 (L95 > afterglow instantly) they mention right? the one where "not many people can do it" step.

we still need info abt step 1 involving L95 weapons > slight boost > afterglow trials, which they said is more realistic to complete

It could be a really luck proc rate on the THF Empy +2 set, or it could be this:

Mandau Rare Ex
DMG:55
Delay:176 Attack+40 "Mercy Stroke"(+40%) Additional effect: Poison
Increased chance of dealing extra damage
Afterglow (Increases Accuracy and Ranged Accuracy)

The post on the OF seems to say that the only thing you get from stage 2 is the afterglow. The stage 1 boost is where all the meat is. Stage 2 does literally nothing for the weapon holder at this point.
