I have no idea exactly which mobs have guaranteed pouch drops or not, but I get tons from Arra, I can kill all QQ, Chariot, Flayer, mega boss with time to spare with just me and wife. If Linen drops we get 180-200 a run, 70-90 if linen doesnt drop. I'd say that's damn good.

Never gotten less than 80 from SSR in like months and months of doing it. If you get lucky with linen pouch, you can definitely pull over 200 (albeit very rare). We average around 95.

I go BLU and round up all the gears/ramparts while the THF kills them one by one. 3rd floor you've got 3 rooms of ramparts + gears. 4th floor you've got 1 room of ramparts + gears + train of gears. Best to round up the ramparts as soon as possible before they pop their reinforcements. Don't have to, but I find them annoying.

Not as good as SSR, which guarantees you 4 pouches, and tons of gears to kill. Like I said, I usually average ~95. Plus your math makes no sense. How are you jumping from 70-90 (w/o linen) to 180-200 (with linen)? You're saying that you're always getting at least 90 from the pouch... which rarely happens.

Arrapago has 8 potential forced Cottons (6 rats, flayer/bhoot, chariot). Rats are definitely 100%. I don't remember if the other NMs are. Also, you have a lot of gears to kill (Floor 6/5/4). I just can't kill rats and clear the sixth floor dualbox regularly enough to make it worthwhile. The zone definitely has higher average potential if you can do everything, though. You'd be looking at 100 Alexandrite average from pouches alone and a comparable number of gears to kill.

I also clear the floor 3/4 gears in SSR, but I use DNC/THF as my TH. 4 Purses (50 Alexandrite) + about 40 Archaic Machinery worth of Alexandrite.

I kill every gear and rampart, most I've gotten is 100 total, did it twice. Linen never drops for me like 2/20+ with th9-10 usually. Avg around 70-80 as well. Best was 189 or so. Still looking at another 8 months till completion at current pace. Will finish quicker i'm sure once new nyzul comes out.

Rats aren't 100% drop are they?

The Qiqirn Astrologer has a better drop rate.. probably close to 50%. The Qiqirn Treasure Hunter has a low drop rate, probably closer to 25%. I think the non-rat NMs are 100%. Usually the minimum you'll net is 4, and if you do well you can get 5 or 6 coinpurses if you full clear.

Qiqirns are definetly not 100% drop rate, just went 2/6 today with TH7+ on them. Both of our drops were on the last-before-boss floor. SSR is definetly a better "guaranteed" run on purses. Only ones I've always seen drop 100% purses in AR is Bhoot/Soulflayer and Chariot, imo AR is as good as doing BR for ramparts and hope 2-3 NMs pop per rampart, and drop purses.

Okay, scratch that I guess! I haven't done Arrapago too much because me dualbox vs. Rats was such a clusterfuck the one time I tried it.

I'm about 5/10 on Linens in my last few SSR runs.

I got two back-to-back the past Saturday and pulled in about 300 Alexandrite in 3 hours. It was almost as good as Dynamis gil!

Rats either put out or don't, I usually skip the 3F QQTH because it's a pain when doing a full clear. 2FQQA+4FQQTH+5FQQA+Chariot+6FQQTHx2+Boss usually nets 90-150 a run

I used to keep track of salvage data extensively, here were the drop rates that my LS had when we used to do salvage (assume TH is on for almost all of the data):

QQA: 198/428 = 46.3%
QQTH: 153/624 = 24.5%

Bosses:
LBC: 21/88 = 23.9%
AC: 24/117 = 20.5%
LAC: 38/165 = 23.0%
BC: 29/123 = 23.6%

Probably valid to assume they all have the same linen drop rate, so...
Overall: 112/493 = 22.7%

So, around 1/4 drop rate on linens from bosses and cotton from QQTH, and around 1/2 cotton from QQA.

As far as I know, the drop rates on purses were never changed (drop rates on armor were all boosted).

Thanks Slycer. Good to see a big enough sample to have some statistical validation. Matches up with my own experience of around a 20% linen drop rate.

I also like AR because it's the least amount of hassle to 3box. 6F QQTH are pretty easy to pop and the boss is the easiest of the bunch. You could get a mega run in BR if you actually had ramparts pop NMs and NMs dropped cottons, but we all know NMs don't pop from ramparts. It's quick, you don't even really need to try and get anything but HP/MP from the first / second floor and the important gear slots get dropped by the machinery on 5F. Can usually get done with the run in 40-50m and can do 3 runs in a little over the time it used to take to do one.

20% drop rate on cotton? wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

I've done 5 runs since 99 cap, mostly outta boredom, and its more peaceful than Beastnamis. I've gone 4/4 on cotton in 2 SS runs (Hammerblow, Powderkeg, Gears, Chelo), also 2/2 in 1 Zhay run (only 5f and 6f can drop cotton), and 4/7 in 1 arra (2f drop, 3f ran off cause I fucked up 3boxing and didnt want to chase it, 4f flayer + TH both drop, 5f drop, 7f no drop). I've tried Bhaf ramparts, but those thing still suck huge fucking cocks. Also 3/4 on linen's (timed out zhay boss)

I've concluded that Zhay just sucks, for everything. For Alex farming, it seems to go SS>arra>Bhaf>Zhay. Bhaf has a chance to be friendly for alex if the ramparts arent being cocksuckers. If you pop 5 NM's, thats 5 cotton pouches (I'm pretty sure theyre near 100% from certain NM's), and thats anywhere from 25-100 alex.

In ZR the 4f frog that you have to get to in 30 minutes or less also drops cotton.

me 3boxing:
1f shouldnt take long, clear out first room puks and ziz, should 4/4 my 3 characters, probably spend more time sorting the cells out. 4 min
2f clear out 1 room, kill mamool and poroggo. Pull 2 item droppers per room (or 1 if necessary cuz of starting chest), pop and kill Jakko 12 min
3f clear out first 3 rooms of mamools, should get the necessary hp/mp/stats, flee to north exit and port up, 10 min. Can opt to dat swap which cell drops from which to maybe save time, but they generally all wind up linking anyways.

It would be pretty close, but seems doable. I'm gonna try it out for lulz after these Qilins.
