I'd really love to find a viable ADL strat that doesn't use PD, has to be something. Would make it so much more reasonable to get 5 ADL drops if you could do multiple kills per run.
too bad you arent on my server carbuncle, but I doubt you will find enough good players to do 200 ogre/flans! Pickups won't go no more after they cap out, unless you got a LS that will farm em regularly you'll prob be out of luck. But all just speculation. At least my shell will do old stuff every so often, still do voidwrought and celandro even every so often. Problem is even if we do them, not everyone trades stones after capping out so less and less chance to get cinder/dross. Just hope they drop like mirrors and riftsand in the new tiers they add.
Maybe you can do a shout to free lot umbral and can get enough volunteers for ADL who knows. Least mythic owners can't complain, so shit easy to do that trial.
Can you even stun ADL?
Should be able to, although resistance wouldn't be completely outlandish. Overall I'd say that a non-PD strategy, if one even exists that could possibly succeed, would be even riskier than a PD zerg. Kind of a given, but yeah, idk if I'd be willing to risk the pop set.
Yeah you can. On the youtube video there were successful stuns going off.
He doesn't spam tp moves as far as I can tell; might even be possible to completely stun lock him? I'm assuming he'll resist eventually but @99 you should be able to land them for awhile. Maybe sudden lunge would work even.
If you wanted to play it safe, wouldn't a couple plds + smns be able to take him down fairly easily?
If you're trying to figure out a way to beat something without 2h, and it takes PLD's and SMN's, you're looking at the problem backwards.
Rather than chance it without PD, you'd probably just be better paying SMN's in some form to tag along with you and rotate them in for the extra pops. That is of course assuming you have a group capable of killing normally and so the only stumbling block for multikills being the lack of PD for the next set of pops.
I just feel like there should be some form or reliable method to kill this without requiring a retarded gimmick PD zerg. I may be wrong and SE is probably that stupid though.
Why? If it really have 100k HP it will take what 5-10min to kill it just from one CDC PLD and 2x SMN doings BP.
Cant really figure out what you mean lol.
On the other hand I have no idea how those clones of him works?
It disappear and come back with full HP in 2 versions? Then his clone stay forever? and if he clone again it will heal again?
You cant stun this clonning at all?
I'd much rather a slow and steady reliable kill that allows me to kill multiples in one run anyways.
Basically what happens is it depops and then when it repops there will be 2 of him. He can do this as many times as he wants (no idea how many of him there are in the DATs) so you can have 2, 3, 4+ of him up at once. There is no difference between ADL and his clones, they repop at the same % as him and are essentially full strength replicas of ADL. It's unstunnable as it isn't actually a TP move, it just depops.
They don't repop at 100% either. It's been a while since we did him but he either repops at the same % he depopped at or at a reduced HP %.
Pretty sure they either have regain or TP together too as both clones TP frequently even if you focus on just one. I think they TP straight away upon repop too. If you kill a clone, it's gone but he can and probably will clone again pretty quickly after if you guessed wrong.
Wish we could try that aswell, but he has too much instant death shit to make it realistic.
We did the same with Arch Diabolos a week ago using a PLD and 3 relic rangers to take it down in a controlled fashion but instant-cast death meant it was just a fucking mess and we basically zombied the last 50%.
SE and their artificial gimmicks to make fights more difficult means zerg is still the best option for the majority of stuff.
Is there anything stopping you from just throwing alot of pets onto the ADLs?
Most of ADL's TP moves will probably one-shot avatars and I imagine it will get very messy, very quickly.
If I remember correctly from his clones ready abilitys at the same time as him, and its the same ability as the real ADL uses. Good luck surviving oblivion smash :/. We even tried to pull clones away to hold them with pld. That doesnt work either. The Pld will get either smashed by TP moves, or they just loose at some point the interest and return back to the ally. tough that was before the lvl cap increase, so I dont know how this would pans out now
Friend says he has got it from Rex
