    The animation is based on both the target and the wyvern, if one blinks, the whole animation is cut. Just like when you blink during Quick Draw - it's not as if it still plays the animation on the enemy, it doesn't play anything at all.

    I use BlinkMeNot, so I still see it and it's lame/lazy of them. Wonder if BLMs would care if Meteor's animation is just Impact. Or if Arise is just Raise 1 animation. I'm hoping they patch it similar to when Saboteur looked like elemental seal and Efflux looked like Chain Affinity for a few weeks until they gave it its own animation.

    Theres a lot more grave problems in the game right now over "HB4 animation". Except theyre wasting their resources on HD numbers...yay

    I'll take HD numbers if it means that HD status icons are next. Hell, I'll take HD numbers just because it is some sort of progress in the game.

    I think saying it's basically WoE in Mordion Gaol with only bosses consisting of NM's from each mob family/type in different chambers with new rewards would basically sum up the entire endeavor.

    manpower on the team isn't equally distributed, its not like everyone can do everything.

    the visual and effects team have their work cut out for them, and you can be sure that even if they aren't working on HD icons or whatnot, they won't be working on drop mechanics either.

    besides there's only so much you need to do to palatte swap caturae, and after that I suppose they've been free enough to work on little things like these that honestly wouldnt take up that much time either, but make the game look so much better.

    assuming the visual/effects/models/animation team work together, theyve been putting it quite a lot recently that in the past. like how often did you see mob reskins and variations before 2010? and those new WS effects + character animation.. i applaud them because they've always been putting in stunning work, even if the beetle's leg is always twisted.

    I still say those weapon animations took out FFXI's already-limited budget for the forseeable future.

    Still awaiting the test server update that shows us Einherjar v2 with it's basic tile-based outdoor arena filled with pre-existing AI and enemy models.

    I'd go with you on compact2.
    Either that or it's a second laptop keyboard variation that they mentioned but I never paid attention to.

    They mentioned months ago that they wanted to redo the keyboard/mouse controls, but I just figured that was one of the numerous empty promises they've pulled out of their ass since the official forums gave us a direct line from their asses to our ears.

    People were able to see the animation in the .dats a long while back when they added the spell into the .dats iirc, think around the time of the 99 cap update.

    Ah, wasn't sure. I don't .dat mine, nor have access to the test server so was just thinking it might be newly added since that's the only thing they mentioned on Twitter.
