I was connected to 202.67.62.102:53001 earlier when I was checking for updates.

Just looking through the test server .dats (thanks Ravik), it looks like there are new earrings with the same model as darkness/pluto's earrings? Also, a bunch of the blank gear has racial affinities and some of it seems to have enchantments. Perhaps it's for another event coming up.

They also moved around the lamps again on the test server. I updated my xml on pastebin assuming they will use those lamps this update on the real server.

Out of curiosity and pointless speculation; how do you think they will handle testing with an expansion coming up? Obviously we're not going to download the whole thing to test it beforehand. So I suppose that testing which includes SoA stuff will commence after its release. Afterwhich I have to wonder if things like missions will be kept out of upcoming tests.

Given it's an expansion pack, I would assume they'd have actual internal testers for it, so I'd put my money in saying we won't be testing anything from it until its release.

Using Apocalypse 95 and each WS was done at the beginning of the fight before I swung to remove a shadow. After WS, they didn't recast Utsusemi either, Entropy just ignored the shadows.

The FINAL FANTASY XI Test Server has reopened and the new test phase has commenced on Jul. 6, 2012 at 4:00 (PDT) / 11:00 (GMT).

but graphics-wise, no new items or armor. Heroine's Holdfast dats are not in either.

edit btw, now they're just trolling. theres a ROM10.

ok i looked thru rom10 dats on polutils.. they appear to be the NPCs featured in Heroines Holdfast. I see textures of Ulmia, Gilgamesh, Cait SIth, automatons, Nashmeira, Lion.. but can't get it to display on AltanaView.. (which conveniently doesn't directly read lists that start with folder 10...) even after some clever folder name switching

Attributes are still capped at 12 per stat so you can cap 2 now.

in the past expansion mobs came with the expansion install, or the patch that came with it.. so yea it does seem a bit early.

they might throw a bit of a curve ball by doing some SoA foreshadowing tho.. like how they did for Abyssea.
