Yeah they also told us there would be a new system of merits at 99 that included movement speed, lol. And that BSTs would get a pet giant crab. And that I was more handsome than the other boys at school.

God I remember that. I was like yay giant enemy crab is mine!
Oh, also my avatar pic is a prime example of SE showing something we never got.
COR was supposed to get a 3rd roll slot that never happened.
BST was supposed to get quick-fire pets that'd help up DPS.
RDM was supposed to not suc...nvm.
i think for cutscenes like those they put in variables that can easily be searched out and tweaked to add new jobs in.
but certainly as the years go by this kinda stuff accumulates. i'm guessing they might have a list that the variables reference to for easy updating..
lol
GEO:
Surrounding Star
Scenic Star
RNF:
Symbolic Star
Signific Star
lol.. its not just those but they'll need to come up with alter-names for the jobs.. for use with Artifact, Relic and Empy armor.
Rune Fencer's AF1/2/3 can be called like: Runic's/Mystic's/Swashbuckler's or something.
Geo's can be called like Clairvoyant's/Shaman's/Prophet's/
Gonna laugh when it takes 2 years to add their AF3 to abyssea.
Probably will take them 6-8 months to add relic/empyrean armor because they have to see how the jobs are played in order to assess what job abilities should be added/enhanced and what effects the AF2/AF3 ought to have. Remember when SCH came out it was very incomplete(no buffs besides prot/shell, no addendum so no tier4 nukes, highest regen was II, no reraise or status removal spells and sublimation was borked.)
I don't remember sublimation being borked. I do remember it not stacking with refresh right from the start which made some people go "oh that must be broken" before thinking through that it'd be broken to have it stack.
i'm thinking it'll likely be AF at release. merits G1 at release.
merit g1 are usually pretty functional merits for recast and stat stuff...
then Relic af and job specific G5.
Relic af will have job specific stats for stuff that comes after 60 probably.
and then thereafter Artifact+1, Mythic Weapon and Empyrean sets and G2 merits.
G2 merits probably depend a lot on how the jobs play out. although u can probably get they have a good idea of what stats they want each job to have focuses on.
Scholar didn't even have Sublimation when WotG came out. It was added at the same time as the AF armor/Addendum JAs/etc.
Ya scholar was really atrocious when it first came out. I leveled it fast to the 50s in the first couple weeks of WotG and I quickly categorized it as "completely broken and useless," knowing the changes would come (and they did, pretty fast).
As far as geomancer and runic fencer go, I hope they would focus primarily on Empyrean armor and Relic(+2) armor. AF is by-and-large useless at 99, it would be kind of silly for them to add AF armor. I would much rather see a plotline of job-specific quests to unlock certain spells or abilities than quests to acquire useless AF.
sch had shit, spell wise, ability wise, armor wise
cure I-IV
shell I-IV
protect I-IV
the storm spells
Elemental spells I-III
Helix spells
I think thats it, all the -na, elemntal tier IV spells etc were added with the update that introduced addendum white and black. I mean look at that spell list, the job was retarded limited and very dependend on /RDM for a bigger spell on crowd control list or /WHM for cureing, /BLM or /DRK werent even an option, since it would leave too many holes open.
Correct me if I am wrong, but at release Stratagems werent even stored, you had a 1 min cooldown timer you had to wait. It wasnt even a good support job for any mage. Well limited for whm at that time, but very limited.
SE appears to be messing around with Tranquil Heart (random, yeah?) On the test server, a 99 WHM has Enmity-17 with Tranquil Heart. A level 70 WHM has Enmity-8. Neither of those are even numbers that were available before. I don't think I'll be filling out the trait progression there until they finish messing with it.
I did some other Enmity testing today, but I'm about burned out. Horde Lullaby II is notable for being weird and having more Enmity than the other Lullabies. BRD should be able to spam the crap out of lullabies and cap CE/VE quickly if we ever get a flying Wyrm fight again.

According to POL, the Test Server has been updated to reflect the enfeebling change. Time to see whats new.
