Better than bene? Sure. But that bar isn't too high to begin with

This so much.
The thing is, all the stuff I listed isn't stuff that Benediction removes (well it can remove Doom if you're really, really lucky). Benediction is just an instant Curaga V + ungimped Esuna essentially, and if I had to liken it to any 2hour, I'd say it is most like the way the new Beastmaster 2hour is being portrayed. I would have listed Amnesia if I had remembered that particular ailment as well going with the theme of stuff White Mage can't remove with Benediction.
In addition, White Mage also has Divine Caress already, which can block a single ailment 1-3 times (and really, the barstatus spells should work better then just shortening duration).
SE has a chance to do so right by White Mages by giving us a Perfect Defense for status ailments (and if they really love us, it will stop Death from working on players too in addition to blocking status effects period). Perfect Defense already helps prevent a large number of status effects, so this 2hour will be dead out of water if it doesn't block more then Perfect Defense does, since it won't block damage as well, and if it is really an issue, the two 2hour buffs can be mutually exclusive buffs.
I had my money on "Unbridled Wrath". Would have been a badass nod to SOTN just like this was.Unbridled Wisdom
There are a few crazy/awesome new Meeble Burrows missions. I'll get full details on the BG Wiki page when I can, but here's a sample:
*Huge cluster of 25 3-guess treasure chests (that new model) - need to open 10/20/25 of them to complete goals. If you fail in 3 guesses, they spawn as a mimic (counts as opening either way).
*Two maps filled with 30 leeches each, need to simultaneously kill pairs of leeches from each map (10/20/30)
*GIGANTIC maze with randomly placed walls blocking certain tunnels. Goal is always in the same place, need to get there in 5/10/15 minutes.
*Small area that sends waves of lizards at you every minute (4 4 4 6 6 6 8...). Need the party leader to survive 5/10/14 minutes to achieve the goals.
And so on. Some of them are going to be a ton of fun, I can tell already.
Half of those look very clipperable.
Probably won't since WAR's new 2hr is formless strikes. Their rationale is that Astral Flow is very versatile so it can be used for damage or defense whereas the WHM 2hr is blocks statuses. Also I think PD's status shield decays like the damage shield does. Towards the end of PD I remember debuffs landing on me, so I guess the only catch is WHM's will probably block as many ailements as PD but without the decay?Perfect Defense already helps prevent a large number of status effects, so this 2hour will be dead out of water if it doesn't block more then Perfect Defense does, since it won't block damage as well, and if it is really an issue, the two 2hour buffs can be mutually exclusive buffs.
If the lizards don't have movement speed, can probably kite them with clipper or if they're not immune to gravity, graviga em with a SCH or RDM/SCH.
Or just have the leader clip out of the area so the mobs can't get to him?
mobs can go through walls
The lizards are a joke, there'd be no reason to clipper that even if you could use it to get away from the mobs (which I doubt). I was on SCH/RDM - with Embrava, Regen V, Phalanx, and some PDT, it took 38 lizards before their damage overcame the regen. They check as EP and their accuracy isn't very high. With three people (the minimum to enter) I'm sure you could keep most of them dead until the last couple minutes (I'm assuming it goes up to 10 or 12 per wave, or a different kind of mob starts coming).
So cleave will be best?
Re-installing the test client solves the issue where you cannot log into the test server after the last update, btw.
Do you need to uninstall or just DL the files and copypasta?
I uninstalled everything
Clipper doesn't work when it comes to going through walls now, most of the time it just throws you into an unknown land and you are foced to warp yourself out. Movement speed still works fine. At least this is the case with people on my server who use clipper.
This was already brought up like 3 weeks ago.
Having said that, I think it has to do with how far you're trying to run. My friend said he ran through doors in Arrapago to open them for their mules and nothing happened.
You can go through walls, it's just a bit more complicated. You'd have to enable Maintenance mode(for Flag and Status control) then position control will work, then you pop through the wall and continue running and then just disable maint mode once you're through the wall.
