I don't know if this is a test server bonus but I don't need to obtain runic portal use permits anymore. Maybe they made it so it doesn't leave your inventory if you are a captain.

Sounds like a test server thing to me tbh.
I've honestly not touched WoE outside of a couple attempts at it back when it launched (which is when I took a 6 month break from XI) so I can't comment much on changes.
Were you normally able to get drops off the smaller mobs when they died? We killed 7 of 'em and only got one temp item per kill.
I was also under the impression these battlefields were supposed to be locked off once you enter also? Unless there was a menu option to lock it somewhere and I wasn't paying attention when I entered...., I was mostly bummed out about the fluxes being locked off.
Tried out some Voidwatch mobs today as a 3man - PLD WHM SCH.
-Gasha (formerly Huhuva): Seemed like a normal enough skeleton using the typical TP moves but towards the end of our alotted time when we finally killed him, he respawned with a samurai helmet and proceeded to use an altered moveset. Timed out before being able to note the new TP move effects.
The first spawn had a permanent silence aura and then helmet mode came with an amnesia aura.
-Laidly Laurence: Small Sandworm with a nasty Gorge ability. Gorge hit our tank for 500 one hit, then 2.6k for another and over 7.5k another time. Yeah..
-Qilin: Yeah, Kirin's back and he's upset about all those Osode that have gone missing over the years.
Improved magic (Stoneja, Breakga, Quake-ga), hard hitting and he's even got his adds to torment you at 95. We were surprised when Xuan Wu (Genbu) spawned and proceeded to show us the door.
Hard content? Fuck yes. Hopefully the drops make it worth it.
Kirin v2 souns fucking amazing, lol
So I'm not sure if this was previous knowledge or anything, but if your Marksmanship skill is tanked from switching jobs and resetting your skills to caps on a job with no marksmanship skill, QD accuracy is freakin' tanked. Wildfire accuracy too, which suggests to me that elemental WS get magic accuracy from weapon skill (could just be wildfire). EP Pachypodium resisted light shots and Wildfire was doing ~600 with atma.
Also, DRK AFv3 set bonus proc rate is absolutely pathetic (I'm still missing pieces on Siren, natch). I think 5% is an overshoot.
inb4 voidwatch in sea with a new AV.
Undying Virtue
So Eldieme present has a 2 form mob, and Crawlers Nest [S] does as well. Jeuno path 2 forms, Zilart path summon adds? ohjoy
Why are everyone crying about Scarlet Delirium?
If I understand this ability you:
1. turn it before big damage
2. get hit by this damage
3. get bonus for 1 min
It's a little risky and a little tricky to use but you can gain up to 49% damage bonus for a 1 min out of 5? Thats a lot I would say...
Seeing how every VW do some AoE for 700-1k+ it's really easy to get at least 20-30% bonus easily and for mobs with Throat stabish TP moves, mijn Gakura, AF, ga IV etc. it's serious business. I almost want to say "suck less" for those DRKs on official forum >.>
I think the problem is two-fold.
Firstly it activates after the first hit taken so it will need to be timed before heavy hitting AoE moves. But if you can activate Scarlet Delirium quick enough, you can stun it instead. It wouldn't be so bad if the damage was cumulative or it only counted the highest damage taken across a period of time.
Secondly, the majority of the mobs that hit hard enough for it to be pretty good, most people will not want a DRK thwacking away at it.
I think the general consensus is that like a lot of DRK abilities, it has potential but isn't quite there. I haven't tested it myself due to working a lot recently so I don't have first hand experience and so I'm trying to reserve judgment. But I would feel a lot more positive about it if the damage taken phase only counted the highest damage taken or only counted the damage if it was above a certain HP%.
that was exactly two options I wrote on official forum too. the second would probably be better and easier to implement. Argument about stun is irrelevant, most NM especially in VW and abyssea have several AoE + AoE spells and you stun just most dangerous one. There is plenty -ga and AoE that we letting get through that will do at least 50% of your HP. you dont need to try to get hit by most damaging ones that will almost kill you. ga for 50%HP and 25% damage bonus is just fine point between risk and gain. Cmon its free and easily achievable 25% damage boost thats really a lot >.>
For high tier VW we generally use ranged damage and rarely have melees hitting them for anything other than procs. And I really can't see Scarlet Delirium suddenly changing that unless I can tank them as effectively on DRK as I can on PLD.
If people wanna do/test stuff on the server, shoot me a PM, i'm always up for fun
