That worked, thanks. Recast and StatusTimer cause me to crash though.

The plugin "Recast" is crashing POL when using the test server.
So yeah. If anyone was wondering, the scope of the m.acc bug is widening, unsure if it's been this way for a while or not, but relic weaponskill additional effect accuracy (like Metatron Torment's DEF down) all function just like the broken BLU spells and Ageha; they land only on very low level targets at higher than a floored rate.
It seems to be very specific additional effects, so far only Defense Downs, Accuracy Downs, and Blinds have been affected.
I realize there's little point in testing(Playing with) The DRG SP when SE already Said they were changing it, again. But this was just fun. XD
Flying mobs always annoyed me in this game. Polearms traditionally had a bonus against them in FF games, but in XI I can't hit em. Nice to kick the shit outta one for once. XD Oh, hmm. Forgot to use Ancient circle too.Code:[06:22:37]The Naul takes 5658 points of damage. [06:22:38]Martel defeats the Naul. [06:22:53]Martel uses DRG SP2. [06:22:55]Martel uses Jump. Even with the upcoming changes, I'm still pretty pleased with this SP. Especially if they finally get around to unlinking the jump timers so I can cycle 4 jumps with a 10 second recast.
They've stated they're looking into unlinking the Jump timers?
Yeah, there was a comment regarding shared timer JA(jumps were specifically mentioned, as was steal/despoil) in the post about making the old and new SP have separate timers. I don't really have time to go dig it up atm, though.
I think they mentioned making it so abilities with shared times will count as one timer when resetting them with Random Deal (So phantom roll will count as one instead of *insert however many rolls there are* like it does now.) I didn't hear anything about unlinking shared timer'd abilities other than that, but I don't dare to dig too deeply on the OF... The dumb over there scares me.
The lead developer himself actually made the post regarding separations of Jumps, Steal/Despoil etc when he mentioned the new and existing 2hr abilities were going to be separated and reduced to 1hr. The post regarding Random Deal was mentioned at a different time.

The thing is they also said by uncoupling the Jump timers they'd have to increase the recasts and/or weaken their effects to maintain balance.
*Jump: 60 seconds (no change)
*High Jump: 120 seconds (no change)
*Spirit Jump: Extended from 60 to 90 seconds
*Soul Jump: Extended from 120 to 180 seconds
I'm not good at math but which is better, having 4 jumps with longer recasts or having Spirit/Soul Jumps on 60/120 second recasts? I would think the way it is now would be better since they gave enhanced TP returns. Using Jump and High Jump every 60/120 seconds would combined only give the TP that Spirit Jump would give, and Soul Jump would now be a 3min recast. Not sure if I want them to be unshared timers anymore if the recasts are that long, can anyone mathinate this? Jump and High Jump are really weak, Jump does a tiny bit more than a regular swing but has that 2 second JA delay so it's virtually useless. It also means carrying around Conte Cosciales/Corazza for the extra TP. High Jump does as much as a regular hit with the same 2 second JA delay, so having the old jumps maintain the current recast while the new jumps get increased recast might end up actually hurting our DPS since we rely heavily on Spirit/Soul Jump for fast TP. OAT and Ryunohige users aren't effected probably.
In terms of TP and on a 6 minute rotation:
6 Jumps
3 High Jumps
4 Spirit Jumps
2 Soul Jumps
High and normal Jump are increased 20% with full merits.
1.2*(6+3)+8+6 = 24.8 hits of TP without merits
Currently in 6 minutes:
6 Spirit Jumps
3 Soul Jumps
Spirit and Soul Jump are increased 20% with merits.
12+9 = 21 hits of TP*1.2 = 25.2 hits of TP without merits
Now, you obviously do more damage and rely less on having a Wyvern out, but I would be really hesitant to endorse the new option as superior from a high-haste DD standpoint.
So it looks like the current Jump paradigm is better for TP overall, additionally you probably lose a lot of attack rounds by spamming more Jumps due to JA delay as you stated about high haste situations. Even in mid-hate situations it's seldom worth it to use Jump ever since it gives as much TP as a regular hit and barely does more damage. If that's the case I'd rather them not split it. It's nice in Abyssea with the high crit and Triple Attack atmas but outside, jumps suck. On Odin v2, my Spirit Jumps do about 300ish and vanilla Jump does about 180. Woo...
That looks awesome talk about cuelebre getting jumped lol....
Just got home, making dinner, will mine soon. sorry!![]()
Mining up, same place as always. There was an issue with magic and abilities, they might have changed something in the common file. I will look at it tomorrow, too tired today.
Dialog tables will be up in an hour or so when they're done.
When are you going to fix the link in your sig?
as far as graphics concerned, nothing new. just peistes readded to the game (probably for year of the snake)
The link is fine, the only problem is that I deleted the blog because I wanted to write my own but I've been lazy and haven't gotten around to it. /ffxi has always been there and will continue to be there for mining stuff.
I guessed English doesn't give a shit on test server now? Since they never listen to English feed back?(sarcastic me)
How are these new two hours added lately?
The DRG one is great but that's why it's going to be nerfed. The RNG one is powerful but conceptually stupid. The BRD one works, but it just compensates for us needing 2 more Marches now.
