Brews are fucking stupid
I'd take brews in events over VW's light proc system.
? eh voidwatch is fine... but LET PEOPLE ADD THERE LOOT TO POOL >.> /rage off
I can sell gear via Ichor or Assault points almost as easily as gear that drops to a pool, in some cases easier while in others with slightly more hassle. I would prefer an option to put items in the pool, with drop rates remaining the same. You wouldn't run into an RMT problem because I doubt anyone's LS has capped out on F.Radiant Mail yet and we're about to see Chapter2 released.
I would love this soooooo much. Obviously they would have to make the bodies quite expensive to keep them as 'rare' as they are, but at least I could make progress toward them. This combined with heavy plates being added to the event (assuming they are and at a decent rate) will make VW much more enjoyable for me. Could always keep the non-rare/ex gear as chest drops. I wouldn't be opposed to that.
I cant wait for Abyssea +2 items in my Voidwatch pools.
the only reason i bring it up is we have a career pup in LS and i swear the new animator has dropped for everyone but him and its really starting to get depressing, people even stopped making lolpup jokes in shell.
and yes points system would rock. Anything u slowly work towards is much better than getting screwed by SE's random number generator
Letting people put items into pool from chest is a good idea. Also maybe let people trade items to NPC for item of similiar value (based on NM)

You can sell those? Really? Really?
You can "sell" Ichor and AP, but at that point, and if they set the bar high enough difficulty wise, you'd be selling alliance spots, and if they set the bar high enough on points needed, having someone come for 20+++++ events, why not just let them in the LS at that point?
I mean, from what I'm reading here, I've seen "0/100+ on *X drop*, but my mules trashed 3" and shit like that. If the bar is high enough that requires you to kill X NM 50 times, would that be better than doing the fight 40 times, but seeing the drop you want go to your mage mule?
Can make the light related to drops instead work towards a point system?
As I've said, I'm pretty certain SE made such a drop system to prevent people from selling drops. I'm sure they had the same idea with Einherjar when it first came out, seeing as how when you exit the chamber the drops disappear, despite being in the same area.
It's a hassle because they need to be present, but they can also work at their own pace if you run events at set times - they can purchase ally spots when they are available to do so. It's easier in a sense that you know the item is going to drop because they are constantly working towards said item. This is no different than mercing seals/weapons/anything that requires more than one item to drop.
No one is saying the current VW system isn't stupid, I'm just saying that I know SE made it that way due to RMT, and that if I wanted to I could sell items through any system that wasn't what the current one is. Shit, if the item was good enough I'd be selling ally slots like lotto tickets and people would still pay.
Was fun for the first month, but for my LS it's just a chore getting maxed lights, especially on the NMs that feel bugged in the sense that they have zero red hints.
We've not been seeing much of the job spread other than bringing a SCH & PLD over what we already normally have for our Abyssea runs. Granted I guess we may be in the minority of having more than 12 people show up to most events in this day and age.
I'd change my mind if we actually saw some results from our efforts. Hasn't SE said in the past they do not care about people mercing drops?
I'm not sure if you caught it but i was being very sarcastic in that post :\ I couldn't care less about brews in Walk of Echoes. Brews have never stopped me from getting +2 Seals, Or working on a Mandau... Brews haven't hurt me at all.
Those complaining really just are angry their E-peen is so small because of that Easy Button letting idiots get armor so its not special anymore. But since its likely nothing in Walk of Echoes will be EX (like it has been til now), It doesn't much matter, more people winning = More of the WoE Armor on AH =Likely price drops since common people are impatient and stupid with gil.
That and its not purchasable, as such, is completely random, and since theres only 1 screenshot floating around... for all we know it could be a 1/100 chance or lower and only possible in the first 6 Fluxes. We just don't know enough!
Either way, So long as Voidwatch doesn't get brews, I'll remain happy. There should be at least 1 event without an easy button.
Edit: Eh, Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh... Either way, Don't worry about it. But if its that big of a problem, post feedback on the Official forums.
I think SE adding brews to WoE is their way to push players into doing other fluxes. Currently on Lakshmi, PUGs do Flux#2 boss runs and you'll see occasional SMN+BST groups doing #5 or 7. There are very few shells that I've seen do Flux#1 for bosses. #1 and #3 are mainly for those who solo/duo or small groups who just kill the babies. Adding brews to temp items will likely cause smaller groups to move to 1, 3, and other fluxes for boss runs instead of them solely being baby farm fluxes.
As far as VW is concerned, I think an Ichor style system would have been a better implementation for rare/ex rewards but set the amount of points necessary high enough to reflect the reward and also set some requirements such as needing to defeat X,Y,Z Voidwatch NM's.
Just fought Holy Moly outside Kazham in Yuhtunga Jungle. It is as straight forward as everyone says, just be ready for charmga.
Also fought Kaggan, the Mantis in Qufim Island. We got it to about 40ish % before timing out. One thing that threw us off was Death Prophet, which was AoE Death.
It has a small load time where you can stun it. We were not expecting this move. Magic damage was very good ie Shiva's Heavenly Strike for 1500, Wildfire for 1100.
It does use multiple WSs in a row and casts many wind spells and its probably a wind based mob.
This NM has a ton of HPs some were guessing 150k to 200k Pic of AoE death below.
