GM Moogle hasn't had the skill-recap option for quite some time now since it proved unwieldy.
Trying to force it via adjusting a lvl on a non-mage job/sub and then swapping back does move them to 0, but the second I zone they're back up to a capped state, and I can't exactly cast magic inside MH.
Well I'm out of ideas. Seems SE hates skilling up too.
Such a shame since it opened up alot of acc/macc testing
In case someone was hoping against hope for a ninja update to the heavy metal requirement, it's still 1500.
DA bonus to helix seems to be 16 base damage, symmetric with LA bonus to Regen 1, at least at 95, and is SCH main only.
Numbers as follows. dINT 90, MAB 24, Helix 135 damage (109*1.24=1.5). + Dark Arts -> 155 damage. ((109+16)*1.24=155)
dINT 90, MAB 39, 151 damage (109*1.39=151) + Dark Arts -> 173 ((109+16)*1.39=173)
Doesn't scale with INT dINT 136 MAB 24, 163 damage, + Dark Arts -> 183.
TR gives it +24 base damage, which matches the +24 to Regen I it gives also.
Tentative formula seems to be (SCH level/5)-3 for bonus to Regen and Helix, +50% for TR (Works for 49 and 95).
Edit: Regen III and IV get the full bonus, I'm just retarded and thought they were base 30/40 rather than 20/30.
Helix base duration seems to be based on main job level, not subjob level. Both SCH95 and RDM95 had 1m helix under no arts. SCH95 appears to have 2m helix under DA.
no new graphic assets in the most recent test server update.
So if I am reading this right, DA adds about 15-20% damage to helixes and 25%ish under TR?
A pretty nice bonus overall!
I bet the merits will be changed to increase damage, cementing the SCH's mastery of the helixes.
What part of "Making it so an increase in the effect of Treasure Hunter is possible when using a close range physical weapon skill " entails its allready active? the asterisked part only mentions that it wont show in log, no add effects show in log. Enspell effects proc on WS, a long itme ago, I believe archain showed that the gravity effect from magnet knife procced on ws by showing the effect wearing off with it never going on.
The problem is that even with the buffs to Regen and Helixes and the previous buff to Tabula Rasa, is this going to get people off of WHM or BLM and on to SCH? I would argue that SCH needs huge buffs like these to even try to compete with WHM and BLM, and even then I am not sure that this will be enough to make people say "don't come WHM, come SCH for those sexy regens."
I don't think with the amount of available refresh and the relative length of fights that Regen is that important of a spell. If you lacked refresh/fight lasted a long time then Regen is a great way to conserve MP and reduce hate but I just don't see those types of fights right now. It definitely has its place.
For zergs though, their 2H is pretty hot. (Again though, what mob are you zerging that you "need" 2h on right now)
I dunno, For dealing with AoEs and/or Poison it seems handy. Mob has a 50/tick poison aura? AoE Regen IV and now it effectively doesn't. It's not going to replace a WHM as main heal, but I can at least see fights where you'd want a WHM and a SCH rather than two WHM now.
Now if only SE can come up with some reason other than Refresh II why you might ever want a RDM...
Yeah if you could cast it on other people or acession it then it would've been all right... I know they want to bring rdm to the fore front but it's gunna need alot more than a little double attack to do that.
Yeah, I was thinking something along the lines of tripled potency and able to be cast on other people.
No fuck that no, not the fuck ever again.
Red Mages do not need another god damn spell the cycle through; I did that shit for 5 fucking years, I will choke a lamb before I do that shit again.
They need to make enfeebles worth a shit, give RDMs more enfeebles so they are worth bringing, and make enhancing spell auras on RDM so we don't have to cast shit over and over and the fuck over again.
One might even say it got... tempered.I see the hidden hand in Temper's development. It probably started out as the buff they need, then got Tanaka'd.
That was bad and I feel bad. It would be nice if they did make RDM enfeebles worthwhile, though. I dunno.. it seems like many MMOs are pretty bad at balancing out the 'hybrid' or 'support' classes or whtanot (I'm looking at you, Aion, as well..)
