Pretty sure BST would be better on dynamis for money maker.
A lot less effort (since dynamis is a 2hr/day effort while Tiamat involves a lot of camping time) and better overall gil I would say.

If you need Dynamis coins to upgrade AF2 to +1 (27-28 coins) and SE said "Owners of Relic +1 Armor will be rewarded with less demanding conditions for the first upgrade stage." it's not a huge brain-cracker to determine that in order to upgrade AF2 to AF2+2 you'll need relevant Dynamis coins.
So when you've put ~30 of Dynamis coins to upgrade your AF2 equipment to +1 you'll only need 50-30 = 20 coins.
If it's magian trials you can save yourself up to a week of waiting if you skip from the NQ to the +2.
For some reason I recall that somewhere in the dreamlands dynamis revamp notes, it said that new items for upgrading relic armor would drop when you restrict your subjob. Somehow I think these will have to do with the upgrade process rather than just regular old dynamis currency.
On the geocities site it has some new "sundries" listed, google translating them as:
Replacement Head
Body Replacement
The replacement
Leg Replacement
Replacement Feet
Would make sense why they are "." now if this will be a new drop from Dynamis mobs. Also lists 6 Collectibles "A-F" and 8 elemental seals. I'm not sure if these are all new are not.
I don't see getting level 99 gear out of fights designed for level 75, that's just way too easy. Empyrean armor takes a little (granted, very little, but still a little) effort; if it was just coins it would take literally 15 minutes, or a 30 second stroll through your local bazaar. I'm guessing there will be new mobs (around level 105-110) added with new stackable drops that will be traded in for these trials. Could have something to do with the sub job lock as suggested above also.
I love how someone stirred up a huge debate between relic and empyreans on this thread and lied about everything.
First off, Relics have about a 10 base dmg increase from 99 empyreans.... Second off, empyreans still have ODD not ODT. They both seem to have circle effects or spheres on them now. If aegis gives a -50% MDT sphere, then thats worth 1 billion gil alone. I cannot properly translate the sphere effects though but....

You can clearly see Spharai has Counter effect V, +40 attack and +52 DMG
while the Vere99 has only +42 DMG and still has ODD only. 10 base damage difference.... I do not know who posted that empyreans have higher DMG or that Spharai only has 1 more DMG then vere.
Maybe they compared delay/dmg ratio and said it is equilivelant to +1 DMG... not sure, I might of misread the poster.
The aftercircle, if different for each melee weapon of both relic and empyrean... would still be useful to have both in your party.
I guess we ignore delay all of a sudden...
katana/daggers have same delay on emp/relic, hence the same D.

Bravura is 156 ukon 154 (ukon has +20 str tho so has actually higher base because of fSTR and 6 less delay)
Apoc 167 Rede 163 (again +13 str on Rede almost even this out and 11 less delay on rede)
Twashy 55 Mandau 55 (same delay)
Kikoku 64 Kannagi 64 (same delay)
Gungnir 159 rhongo 159 (same delay)
Amano 132 Masa 132 (same delay and Masa +20 str is on melee +5base dmg(on WS you will cap fstr w/o str from Masa probably))

Difference on Spharai vs Veret is based on:
(107+107+26(avg kick dmg per round))*60/531(delay before h2h trait)=27.11
(117+117+26)*60/566=27.56
So DPS is actually pretty close 1.7% advantage for Spharai.

We dont even know what's afetrcircle. We dont even know if that will give the same as aftermath/stats on shield. We dont know anything pretty much...

For MNK weapons 99:

Mage Staffs also go to +4, like it seems every trial is.
So would Vere still be better due to it having a good WS to use? Or is Relic better now so I actually have something to give a shit about to work on relic wise?
I think it would be best to make that call after they release the new WS.
