Totally depends on the person. When i worked on extreme makeover, i got mine done, they had occasional oversensitivity for a couple hours.

Some people on our show cried for a week - the whitening was more painful than all their plastic surgeries.

I've always wondered how bad all these whitening products are for you teeth in the long run. It seems America has gone crazy with teeth whitening to a point where when I see some people, I remember that one Friends episode (no homo) where Ross glowed in the dark.

Going for a professional teeth whitening needs aftercare of another 2 weeks or so of home whitening kit to make it last longer.

The combo works best together, and having one and not the other, is just not as effective.
