a mix of both- everyone will have some retarded buff on them. Kiarax said Yosuke's, Yukiko is in auto lv.8 fire AND infinite fire break(all fire attacks are unblockable).

really enjoying the game so far, and visually this might be the best ever. i absolutely love the interface/menus and overall presentation, especially. not something that i usually pay all that much attention to, but they're so exceptionally well-done in this game they really do stand out.

I'm meh on the music, but the game itself is legit as fuck, can't wait to get enough time to actually pick a main and learn it. I'm probably going to end up on either Yu or Chie.

So I haven't gotten a chance to play this at home yet. How's the online? Is it like marvel/KOF, or can I expect to actually get decent games out of this?

So I watched the Ultrachen shit with James Xie. He's a really well spoken and knowledgable dude about the game. It was entertaining to listen to him talk and all that jazz. That said, a lot of the characters look really awesome. Aigis and Yosuke looks really cool, but I'll still pick up Shadow Labrys first simply for awesome factor (Reminds me of Anima from FFX :D), and it's hilarious that she can combo into instant kill.

It's definitely good. Right now I feel it's at least on par with AE. Especially considering the game speed it's pretty great.

hmm so it looks like the microswitch for the triangle button was a bit too loose (2.5 years of saltiness and general abuse will take their toll eventually, it seems), i guess if the joystick collided with the gate with enough force, that was enough to trigger a button press. swapped the button with L1 and the problem seems to have gone away, just gotta remember to always set L1 to no function now just in case, haha

i was messing around with elizabeth at first but i can't really get into her. gotta find someone i can get into enough to main, but i haven't really been clicking with anyone so far, though i've only tried out a little under half the cast.

Pretty solid cast of characters, I was surprised. I thought I was going to main Mitusuru but the other characters are fun to play w/. Chie felt the easiest to pick up. Ai felt a little complex w/ her modes, need to try her more. The combat feels simple on the surface, but it's fucking complicated once you dwell more. Needs Chidori for DLC.

Holy shit, Mitsuru

Spent a while in training mode doing missions, then tried the online for a bit. First match made a comeback against a 75% Kanji while cornered, persona broken and 5% life. He literally couldn't touch a button till I carried him to the other side of the screen, then he got counterhit to death. Ended up taking it 2-0. Don't know how safe EX thrusts actually are, but for now it's beating pretty much everything I throw it at.

I think I found my main.

yeah, i am too lol. i dipped my toes in the ranked matches pool earlier, i'm like 2-10 thus far D:

in my defense though, i only had two matches in the lot with connections that rated over 2!

Have loved the whole Persona series, loved 4.. but still really terribad at fighting games. It *is* cool that doing DPs with characters that can do them are so..easy? Or at least easier than the Shoryuken motion, Haha. But still.. I'm so bad on execution and just terrible at fighting games in general, so that's what's keeping me back. I'm way too casual.

Still so fucking temping though! Game looks crazy fun.
