Persona 4 Arena Home Version Story Mode Has 30 to 40 Hour Play Time
he home version of Persona 4 Arena has a story mode that details what happened after the events of Persona 4. It appears that this is a major part of the game, as director Kazuhisa Wada reveals in a recent post at the P4 Arena official blog that the play time for the story mode is 30 to 40 hours.
Wada noted that like the story modes in BlazBlue, which is also developed by Arc System Works, P4 Arena's story mode is not the usual "bonus-style feature" one normally expects of a fighting game. The story elements come from the Persona team and feature full voice.
You'll find a trailer for the story mode below. This is the same trailer that we posted on Friday, but in higher quality.
What would the point of importing it be, anyway? I guess it kills any hope of a European presence for the competitive scene but animu fighters are a niche in the community to begin with.

This, the only reasons I ever grasped for imports were getting it early or for some sort of extra weeaboo hipster street cred.
You think there won't be 4 revisions of this game in 5 years why? :D
More that I don't think it'll have to live with constant comparisons to GG, all FGs are going to have a Super Ultimate Bananas Hyper Driving Edition at this point
Except new GG is coming out fairly soon. Any old anime fighter fans that weren't happy with BB should be most anxious for AC+R than this pile of pubes.
So I guess with Elizabeth getting Thanatos there is little to no hope of P3 MC or a few others joining in. Would have liked to see Ken, Koromaru, or some of Strega.
Is Persona 3 or 4 any good? Always wanted to play them but felt discourage when I hear stuff like dating sims and shit like that. Loved Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, are they anything like that?
Persona 3 was in my opinion the Game of the Decade for 2000-2010, or at least RPG of the Decade. It is that good. I feel it did a lot to refresh and renew a quickly aging JRPG genre and it was just so well done.
Persona 4 was less story driven and more character driven than P3 I felt. But not necessarily as a bad thing. The murder mystery concept was pretty cool though.
Id really say play both, they're both AAA titles. But if you only play one get P3. You should be able to find Persona 3 and its sequel P3:Fes in one box for like 15 bucks.

The social links portion of the game (which feels like it's about 50% of the time I spent in P3 so far) is more of a suck-up simulator than a dating sim. Game is pretty deliberately paced though as far as the actual plot goes, so if you don't mind an actual 60hr+ RPG then go for it. P3:FES only $10 on PSN if you got a PS3.
