Hello!
As I am sure you are ALL aware, many Windows-based FFXI players seem to either be using, or have used at some point, a third-party application known as "Windower", named for its ability to run FFXI in a window long before an official windowed mode was added to the game. Since then, it seems that the application has evolved into a sort of moddable client for FFXI, involving numerous "plugins", some of which are borderline hacks and others which, in my opinion, highlight shocking interface design oversights on Square-Enix's part.
I did a forum search for "Windower" and found a few hits - nothing noteworthy. I apologise if posting this information or asking this is against the rules, but will any of these convenient plugin features see official, legal renditions in the new Windows user interface?
I do not condone the use of third party applications but this stuff looks really, really user-friendly, compared to the standard interface.
Specifically, I'm wondering if we'll be able to see TP values of other party members:

See status effect timers:

See the distance between PC and target:

See timestamps in the chat log:

View recast timers without having to go into the job ability / magic menu:

And, although it's not a user interface feature, increase the draw distance of the game ten-fold:

Once again, I do not condone the use of Windower and any player who chooses to use it should know that it is a third party application and therefore illegal. I only bring the program to light in this fashion to illustrate how useful these features could be (and how much nicer they could look) given an official implementation by SE.
Thanks.
