I didn't even know that some of those clowns posted in the Blue Mage forums, considering they're some of the most active Pro-RDMelee activists on those boards.

And yes, Saevel-Lakshmi is a fucking retard (I have to differentiate since Saevel on Cerb is p cool). The guy never backs up any of his claims with anything substantial. According to him, he fights shit like Apademak with alliances and Paladin tanks on RDM/DRK and runs in to SoulEater CDC it when procs are done. That, or he's magically capable of killing Voidwatch Part 2 NMs in 30 seconds while doing 2k CDCs on RDM. I really can't figure out which it is, since he refuses to clarify it.

An easier way to put it in perspective, my RDM frequently does 1.5~2K CDC's on VWNM's, and I'm talking Jeuno / Outlands VWNM's here. Now these aren't "epeen" shots, their actual averages (2.6K highest on Jeuno VWNM so far). It's also how I know VWNM's don't have crazy stats, there is no way in hell a "RDM" will be putting up those numbers if the VWNM had 130/140 VIT, 130/140 AGI or crazy defense. This WS is that awesome, I can't state that enough. If there was a way to use CDC with Excal that I'm positive the Excal would win out as the best sword, but you can't. Also the aftermath's on both Excal and Tizona are activated only when you do their respective WS, meaning KoTR spam for Excal or Expacion spam for Tizona, while the ODD aftermath effect on Almace is activated using the best sword WS in the game. Effectively it can be kept up 90~100% of the time, depending on how good you are at timing WS's. We have an Excal / Aegis PLD and he doesn't touch either of the Almace PLD's (one Almace/Aegis other Almace/OChain), and they all have really good gear.

Ontopic, SE should give BLU Excal period. They should also remove all the EX and SP WS's restrictions, meaning Swift blade for BLU and "all the above" for RDM. Lastly there should be a question you can perform after completely a weapon that allows you to permanently access that WS. Meaning a PLD that had an 85 Almace could permanently learn CDC, or if they had a 75 Excal they could permanently learn KoTR. For those about to scream blood over this, they ~ALREADY~ have the weapon, they've already meet the accomplishment and earned the right to use it. This would just let them use it which whatever weapon they wanted.

Well if I'm soloing or lowman / tanking (which amazing enough happens constantly now that I have CDC) then Spontaneity is useful for an emergency Stoneskin or Utsusemi. This one time at band camp *cough* I mean while I was soloing WoTG missions. You had the demon + his four BLM's part, I spawned him as a RDM/NIN and proceded to fight the main guy and basically ignore his helpers. Went very well until they all went cheap mode, one did a -ga and the rest cast ST nukes all at the same time. Had me from full HP / Skin / Utsusemi down to 400 HP. Spontaneity Skin -> Utsusemi -> Cure IV x 2 then a CDC to finish off the NM. Glad I did it too cause right after I put it up they all swung at me.

Anyhow, lately I've found that I tend to tank accidentally on VWNM's. We all pop temps and I go CDC > Dusty Wing -> CDC -> Built TP -> CDC, usually get at least two if not three WS's off during the HV proc time. Then it's pretty much on me for awhile, I'm spamming Stoneskin / Blinks / Cure IV to stay alive, works pretty well as the PLD's will eventually pull hate off me, or the monster will kill me with a cheap shot ID move.

It's funny because, I would venture to say that I have pretty much the best CDC gear a PLD can use (Which, as far as I know doesn't get topped by any other job that can use CDC, except for maybe the guaranteed extra swing) but I don't break 1.5k.

Hell, T3 mobs? Ukko's would be nice to average 2.5k let alone CDC.

I know what you mean, Churchill. Our shell PLD, Greendragon, has amazing gear and probably one of the best CDC sets, and he hits around that range too on the city path mobs (Lord Asag, Voidwrought are most recent in my memory so that's what I'm pulling from), maybe a little higher. There's no way a RDM, even in their best WS gear (which frankly, they don't have many options that PLD doesn't, and PLD has far superior options) can outdo that.

There's so much BS here but I can guarantee he won't post a screenshot because it'd kill his credibility.
