Normally I hate posting PMs, but... Yah, This guy was PO'd at me, and half of the stuff he said wasn't even accurate. Its like he's repeating some of my own opinion to me like its news to me. Anyway,

So about 2 months ago, or more, I made a post on Official forums, which was basically a Mini-Rant about PS2 users. My opinion was PS2 users need to move on to a better system, Not only for the game, but for themselves. I don't quite remember the mini-rant but I did make note "I understand some people can't afford it"/etc, And my rant was more targeted to the people who own excellent PCs, but still play on that Dinosaur.

Anyway, Jump ahead some months, and i get this PM on FFXIAH

Quit your whining about the PS2 and the people who still use it.

When will you get it through your thick skull that FFXI and all other MMO's, video ganes are just that, GAMES. Ya know? The kind you play for fun? They are not a fracking JOB, you are not in charge, nor the Supervisor of all things that cause you to have nothing better to do all day than play games.

Just because you and most others it seems can afford to own every single system/game known to the civilized or otherwise world doesn't mean that everyone can. Nor does it mean that they should have to kow-tow to yours and other players selfish demands that PS2 be dropped.

"Go buy a cheap re-used PC or X-Box you all cry". DUMB! You know why? It's like buying a used car that has LEMON written all over it, but you buy it anyway because you are desperate to assuage your mother/father/girlfriend/boyfriend/uncle/aunt/boss who are complaining you don't have adequate transportation.

In case you hadn't noticed, the real world economy is the worst it has been in decades, so why should people buy "used, cheap" just to play a fracking game?

Better you all get educated instead in the ways of real life before playing games.

Once upon a time, FFXI was the absolute best and most unique MMO to be had, now it's nothing more than a pile of rubble thanks to the whiny ass people who have nothing more rewarding to do than think about every little thing they can complain about that they view as wrong with the game.

Nothing wrong with the game except it did need some new content, the "wrong thing" are the people that play it.

Just giggled at the idea that my little rant (which was quite tame really, I remember enough about it that it was too offensive, what with it not being deleted by mods yet) sent this guy on a rage fest.

Edit: After skimming more, I Especially Find it ironic i generally advocate people understanding FFXI is a game, and then getting this guy screaming the same thing at me.

Edit2: He also mentioned "not everyone can get a computer", Which is also Ironic, because in the post he's referring about i said "I know everyone can't afford a PC, Tight budget, Etc, So this isn't directed to you" (Because I've been there before...)

Its like he didn't even read anything i said before making this angry rant about something i said. Its quite amusing.

Also does Rezeak ever stop halfassing game mechanics? He advocated shit like using Ferrara on DRK (if Raen's lurking, he probably remembers what I'm talking about), now he's trying to assert that Calad 6-hit is better than Calad 7-hit without even listing sets used, aside from a 6-hit set that isn't actually a 6-hit. I'm fairly sure he's just taking the x-hit values, throwing in WS damage, and completely ignoring changes in TP gear. I realize this isn't huge but he got under my skin with this shit years ago and never really improved.

Or you can switch camps. You have a healer, you can easily fight the sheep and just wake up your THF and DNC from sleep. Or you know... go to the other fucking hippogryphs. The ones there are no soloers at because a link would kill them? A link you could just sleep? The EM hippogryphs you wouldn't need to face away from and try to proc without damaging them for fear of killing them without a trigger? The ones that would die faster because your group has 3 fucking characters.

Why would I want to fight mobs that are 20 levels higher for no extra bonus?

That would technically be correct in Voidwatch wouldn't it? Since most of the time you run in > WS > Run out, a nice SA/Torc or SA/Spiral Hell can do some pretty good damage, especially considering the amount of Dusty Wings you get,, being at 300% TP.

I mean, for general purposes... /SAM all the way. Just figured in a lot of voidwatch Fights it wouldn't be terrible.

I suppose so, My brother only goes DRK Cause that's his only real DD. Plus, Absorb Spells... etc.

But regardless, in hypothetical situation, DRK is invited to Voidwatch for DMG, What would be best sub? Assuming its a Distance fight.

Even assuming the Drk only runs in to ws at procs, /sam should win. Meditate and sekkanoki get you a lot more mileage than a single sa per proc, especially with save tp atma and rolls. You're looking at 3-4 ws in a single red !! vs a sa + normal ws.

That's ignoring the fact that once it's capped light and you're zerging it down to finish the fight /sam will stomp out /thf.
