I wouldn't care about hordcore at all if his asinine posts didn't push relevant topics off the front page. They should just make a sub forum called "Musings of an idiot" and only allow him to post there.

This. That's my only problem with him, and it's one that adding him to ignore list doesn't solve.
Edit: as for that Tanakisnumberone dude, whoever he is he's the biggest fail of a forum troll I've seen in a long time.
Edit2: Have fun arguing with Amerie/Anewie, Insaniac. You're gonna get exactly nowhere.![]()
How do you attract so much crazy Tam? lol
When all was said and done with that exchange, I can't help but wonder why she had to keep dragging it out. Insaniac's (paraphrased) point of "the first trial is reasonable for people who want to do it, and the crazy bit is for that group of players who want to feel special, though at the end of the day, the base stats will be the same, minus the glowy effect and the sphere effect" made sense...a great deal of it, in fact. He even said that people he knew who were relic holders were happy with that fact, that the first trial wouldn't be the PITA trial to complete, so that R/M/E holders can half be expected to actually complete them, which keeps those players happy. It sounds like she just wanted to argue to argue..from what I've seen from her via the forums and what Mairja has linked from FFXIAH (which I'll admit gives a somewhat biased view), it sounds like she likes to ride the rag.
or that.
I don't though ; ;
I usually get along with most people, besides the few who hate me without never having spoken to me or played with me, just because they either a) used to be in a competing linkshell, or b) dislike one or more of my friends.
Amerie/Anewie is just.... something special.
She was notorious for flame baiting on QCDN a couple of years ago - and she absolutely will not let whoever she's arguing with, have the last word, no matter how reasonable his/her point of view is.
Sounds like it...looking over the end of the "debate" about the trials, in her final post she says "[@Insaniac] I honestly respect your point of view and I get it." which sounds like she's just trying toat this point. She would've saved herself a lot (more) of public scrutiny by just admitting that in her first post then voicing her opinion of the matter.
How is Hardecore not banned?
Gross incompetence, obviously.
Walking robots can't have friends gg
Did I miss something?

I thought Tanaka was the director?
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...l=1#post263006
Tanaka is the Producer. Ito is the Director.
Have we not had this discussion like, a million times? Tanaka was NEVER and has NEVER been the director of FFXI. He has always been the Producer of FFXI since the game started and never left.(officially)
Ito was the director of the abyssea add-ons and then took over as director of FFXI when the last one left to go to FFXIV.
Tanaka is everyone.
How was this rude:
Seriously. He posted in a thread about "fixing the loot system" and addresses none of the topics being discussed what-so-ever.Originally Posted by Me

Strongly worded sure... But I don't think I was rude.
I think it's fine, but a lot of people are Camate apologists. In my opinion, it's insulting to post some of the things he does in the threads he does in response to what he does, regardless of if he's being directed to post those exact things.
If something doesn't answer the question, respond to the problem, address the issue, then it has no business in the thread. If that's the answer you are getting, you are not working hard enough to get a real answer or you are relaying the questions improperly.
Well, I wouldn't threaten to report a GM for being off topic as the first sentence. He probably stopped reading there.
