i briefly considered levelling 2nd characters on both of my accounts so I dual box dynamis twice a day.
But then i realized how massively pchan-level retarded that would be.
I actually have an elvaan 85 blm with cop/zilart complete and bunch of other crap because it was my initial character lol. I hated being elvaan so much I made a Hume but yeah that was wayy before additional characters became popular.
I wouldn't level another character on the same POL account either, but people definitely do it. I knew of a person on my old server that had iirc 4 characters leveled on the same account. They were on my FL and I'd see them constantly on different characters. I did a /sea <name> on them and they all had capped jobs that they were on when I did the /sea.
Back in the day, I started an Elvaan, got it to about 30 before reading up on the Allah forums about ACC and how hard it was for them to hit with the low DEX(back before Sushi, ACC gear aside from SH/Snipers/Life Belt) so I made a Mithra on the same account. By the time I took it to 70s, sea came out, Homam and other shit was big, so I kinda went back to my Elvaan. Also got tired of being hit on/stalked all the time...
You coulda gotten free gear man!
Actually I uh did...For a little bit.
Edit: Only a Life Belt, and people helping me with AF, but that was it! D:
What was this Embrava thing with the martello/wards and bringing them to 100% ? lol was that some secret, pretty interesting if it works.
Well, Pchan delivered!: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...l=1#post286123
Except for the fact that it doesn't address any of the key difficulties, sure.
In both videos, nearly all of them were dead by the end of the fight. Video kinda showed what most suspected. You can win with low man if you got dumb luck on your side. He probably took so long to post videos because he failed a million times before.
What do you mean "and"? They won because they got lucky. Everyone wins when they get lucky. If their group encountered any of the things that typically end others' runs, they would have wiped.
What does that have anything to do with what I said? I said its kinda reassuring to know you can low man it with 6, which multiple people thought was impossible. Luck is a factor, no shit.
You can six-man ADL as readily as you can three-man AV. It's possible, sure, but assures that you've wasted your time the moment any of the several relatively probable unfortunate TP moves or abilities come up.
Perhaps I missed some huge debate about this being possible, but it should have been pretty obvious from the get-go that something pretty squishy would die when you throw a few SV'd MNKs at it.
Regardless, not trying to start shit with you. We seem to be discussing this from different directions.
Somehow, there's something about seeing it done that makes people so much more excited than just knowing it can be done. I can't really fathom why, myself.
Theres a reason it took him 3 weeks to post the video...because he spent 3 weeks wiping with that setup, and finally got a lucky win through.
"too weak" lol. both sources of cures dead, 1 mnk dead, 1 mnk at double digit HP, and 2 others at half HP.
Actions speak louder than words? Not everything on paper works in practice? It's not a perfect world? Dunno why it matters so much ?
