Thanks, I didn't realize it was so rare but I got this monitor years ago.

And I know what you mean about Shining Armor, he bothered me too. For me, maybe it's because Twilight suddenly has a big brother, or maybe because he works at the castle but we've never seen him before, etc. Can't really put my finger on why though, really.

When the wedding synopsis was leaked, I was a little shocked they dropped a brother on Twilight out of the blue. But after the finale, I was hoping Cadence and Shining Armor wouldn't be shoved in the dark corner of canon like so many other one time characters. This actually gives me hope that we see more of Blueblood, Fancy Pants, Trixie, and maybe even Photo Finish. Let's just hope they don't become regulars, that would just be awkward.

That's probably the main reason. I know it's a kid cartoon and I'm over analyzing it. And his voice also kinda bothers me to. He sounds like he should be a younger brother >.>

The funny thing is, you're not the first to point that out. Granted I don't read fics, but it seems pretty plausible.

Also, the head of Hasbro made a statement about The HUB, and pretty much why this season is only half as long as the last two:

"Yeah, yeah the cash spend you really have to do when you have a successful TV Series… In fact Hasbro Studios TV Shows has outperformed other TV Shows on the Hub by 74% rating with 4 of the Top 10 shows on the network right now. So as you look at great performance of TV Shows, you are able to produce fewer episodes in subsequent series than you need for earlier series. You know, kids love watching episodes over and over again but you have to add an element of newness but you don’t need to spend to produce entire new series again. You can add 13 episodes or a 26 episodes to a pool of 52 already produced Episodes. So therefore you are able to… with a success TV Series… produce fewer in a year. Overall, Hasbro Studios has greenlit over 800 half-hours of programming. We also still have several hundreds of half-hour programming that we are producing for the network and also looking at whether there are successful tv series we obviously then spend less per new series because we are able to produce newer shows."

All I really got out of it is Hasbro being cheap, which doesn't exactly surprise me.

Its more like they already know MLP(and Transformers) will do well anyways, so they know they can risk putting the cash towards some other shows. Hopefully if they get enough decent shows going the Hub will stop bleeding money, which is good for MLP.

Sucks for us as we probably have little interest in their other shows, but if these other shows do well, everybody wins.
