Wow... I was already going to watch the new season, but this is amazing ^^ I've been a huge Q fan for almost as long as I have been a MLP fan (yes, I'm old enough to have watched the original MLP and TNG series on TV >.>) , and I even went to a few Star Trek conventions dressed in the red judge's robe costume... need to dig through some old harddrives to see if I can find a picture...

I like that last one. Honestly, I was extremely skeptical about this whole pony revival thing - I love the 80s ponies because that's what I grew up with. I didn't give the new series a fair chance the first time I heard about it and wrote it off as looking like every other animated series looks nowadays with that simplistic animation. But someone convinced me to watch it anyway and...no, it's actually really fun to watch, I ended up liking it and I'm excited for season 2.

Can't say I'm not still confused about why sooooo many people have bandwagoned this show though. If you tried to pull that shit with the 80s ponies you'd just get laughed at (and the view through my rose-colored nostalgia goggles says that's unfair). Ponies, as a general rule, are not something that most people (guys especially) considered 'cool' until this rolled around, which leaves me to wonder: what exactly is the formula that makes something that was once considered the realm of little girl dreams magically transform into something that adults and even men enjoy?

Lauren Faust has a good resume and lives up to her reputation. Her magic formula? Don't make shitty, patronizing cartoons.

Also, ponies were cool before FiM.
