Rarity is alone on Hearts and Hooves Day, and she's not happy about it. A friendly afternoon in the park with Applejack promises to turn their friendship to something more – or at least it would, if either of them would simply talk to the other about it.

Between her awkward sort-of romance with Applejack, her desire to help Fluttershy find a special somepony of her very own, family, friends,

and the general day-to-day chaos that is life in Ponyville, this fashionista's got her hooves full.

It's just something I started doing when I discovered the advanced settings on BG. The images with the stories are the cover images being used, usually "borrowed" fanart like my avatar.
Speaking of art, anyone want to help me with my cover for Externals? I can't afford photoshop right now.

Are you good with altering vectors? I just need some headshots of the mane 6 if they switched elements and if they were from an alternate universe.

What exactly do you mean with "altering vectors"? I've vectored around a bit already (my ava is one of them), but so far only with a bitmap as reference.
And you don't need Photoshop for vectors

Inkscape is just as good and completely free.

Yeah, exactly. The idea of the story centers around the multiverse with different parallel worlds based on different outcomes in the show's canon. The mane 6 in the story are from different worlds and represent different elements: Twilight = Laughter, Pinkie Pie = Magic, (but uses science) Rarity = Kindness, Fluttershy = Generosity, Applejack = Loyalty and Rainbow Dash = Honesty. So I need different hairstyles and stuff like Twilight with pigtails, Pinkie with short straight hair and a cyborg Rainbow Dash. I'm still working on this (up to chapter 19) so I don't need it anytime soon.

Eck that's a bit advanced for me. I'm mostly only good using photoshop for things like recolors. I can't draw from scratch to save my life. I've been trying to learn to make vectors in InkScape, but haven't had time.

I can draw, but don't have a scanner and the nearest FedEx/Kinkos is in the next city over. If you can work with scans, PM me if interested and we'll work something out. Just keep in mind I won't be putting this project out till after season 3 or early season 4. Also trying to set up a Tumblr to go with the story as an introduction to the multiverse concept.

I think I can manage with scans. InkScape isn't too hard to use to make lines with. I'll jot that down since until the 13th, all I have on my mind is getting my final projects finished.

Hm, with rough sketches/scans it shouldn't be too much trouble to get that done. It's just that i tend to only be motivated for working on vectors every once in a while and take LONG for them... ^^; Because you mentioned that "Twi with pigtail" i had the quick idea of trying out a Twi with AJ hair style, and that's how far i got in ~1h:

The only thing that really sucks in Inkscape are sharp edged, because they tend to be sharp/flat depending on zoom level... And most of the time you only notice it after you've already exported the pic <.<

Yeah that's mine. I managed to find the paper last nigh, which reminded me of doing it.

Think once I get done with the semester I'll experiment to see how well drawing the parts/skeletons/whatever they're called in InkScape works. Can't be as bad as me with my hand.
