Yep. Hasbro's filed Derpy under "politically incorrect", you likely won't see her in the animated series for a long time. IDW gets away with it because the comic is specifically aimed at an older audience and they know people are delighted to see her.

Grey doing Derpy for the series would have implied that she not only got back in, but would have had a serious boost in "face time" to boot. After all, she's got some rep as a VA nowadays.

There's no reason to put the brand, company or line of toys at risk of backlash just for a silly background character that some people happen to like. I see no reason why they should risk angering those stupid butthurt people again when they can just as easily leave her out of the show. She is a background character after all, she probably only got lines in the first place because of how her popularity skyrocketed among bronies.

I personally like Derpy but from a company standpoint, especially one that mainly panders to children and their parents, I don't think it's a good idea to poke the bear.
