Overall pretty disappointing ending. Only silver lining was Twilight's last line saying "Everything is going to be okay." Touche, Larson.

The episode itself was well done, great musical numbers and I liked the Starswirl reference. (Here's hoping he gets voiced by Patrick Stewart or even Peter Cullen if we ever do see him) Still not sure what to make of the alicorn issue since that tweet from Meghan McCarthy. I guess we'll have to continue to wait and see. Quality wise, this is one of the best episodes this season but it did seem to fly by compared to Best Night Ever, the only other single episode finale. Might have been since it was a musical. Was nice to finally see Celestia sing too, maybe we'll get Luna one day too. Biggest surprise was the unexpected return of Derpy, gives me a shred of hope for things to come. Despite Hasbro forcing their hand, it looks like the writers handled everything well. Can't wait for season 4 and the flow of fan made media to fill the gap.

The real issue I had with that Tweet was they didn't do anything to really leave it at a cliffhanger. In a nutshell it was pretty much "You're a princess now!" -END- That and I felt like they crammed too much into a 30 minute episode.

Overall, I'm surprised the people in denial about Twilight staying an Alicorn haven't bitched yet.

This is just speculation on my part, but I think there might be more than meta involved with the "Everything is going to be fine." theme of the episode. Might be setting up for a huge ass checkov's gun at the start of season 4. I've had yet to see a fictional character ever say something like that without the shit hitting the fan later.

If I didn't just get finished re-reading it last week, I would read it again. Love that fanfic to death. But, sadly there haven't been any new videos/songs that parallel with anything past the wedding. Hoping that changes soon since the season is over. Phil is still one of the best voice actors to cover most of the cast. His Dusk shine, Butterscotch, Bubble Berry, Applejack, Elusive, and Rainbow Blitz are spot on with what you think they would sound like.

Rewatched it a couple more times, still amazed how they pulled it off so well in 22 min. That 9 month wait for season 4 is going to be killer, especially since Meghan said this was basically part 1 of 3.

I really liked the episode. It definitely did feel rushed, because it was. It jumped from plot point to plot point without any character reflection which is not usually a good way to get people invested in the story, but the whole thing was just leading up to one single purpose anyway, and that was the alicorn agenda.

Pinkie was fantastic and I usually don't like her that much, I guess all her jokes were funny this time and she wasn't too in your face. A few of the songs were really good, especially the friend in need song. Twilight's depressy song really reminded me of stuff from my tween years which I guess is a good thing, it was nostalgic.

Alicorn Twilight will take some getting used to, but I'm really interested as far as what season 4 will bring. When is that gonna start, again?

Nothing about S4 air dates announced so far... But i REALLY hope they don't wait with it till summer/autumn again...

And as expected, the first remixes/covers/transcriptions are hitting youtube.

Think that True, true friend is the most catchy of them... Been humming it all day ^^;
