It had some good points, but the trollface and Scootaloo chicken part just seemed completely unnecessary. Then again when I write I try to keep memes/in-jokes like that out of my work so maybe it's just me.

All and all, it looks great. Far better than that other fan-made episode... *shudders*

Sorry guys, I needed to drop off the radar for a while. Between my writer's block, the pressure to continue my stories and all the little favors I was doing for other aspiring fanfic authors, a simple hobby started to feel like more of a chore.
My little cousin got a hold of that Princess Cadence book from a Schoolastic catalog. I was going to give her the money to order me one too if I had known, but she's going to let me borrow it when she's done. I can't wait.
The Double Rainboom "episode" was pretty good in terms of quality, but it really lacked the spirit of the show. But it's still amazing for a school project. I hope if they (or another group of animators) do another one, they look to fanfics for inspiration. I know I've said this a million times, but Sunny Skies All Day Long is one of the best fanfics out there that could be used for an episode.
Anyway, here's a confession: Until recently, I never read My Little Dashie. Shocked? Yeah I know, it was something I wanted to get around to, but the way this fandom can work feels, I avoided it like the plague until I came across the dramatic reading+music my Mic The Microphone:

Aside from this being the tearjerker that I expected, it really changed my outlook on things, especially this fandom. Despite being something written back in season 1, there's a deep seated message hidden within this wonderful work of literature:

Pretty much expected but that's is such a long wait. I think they must of planned S3 to be the final episode with the way it ended, but later decided this show is so popular they wanted to make more episodes to sell more merchandise.

A little confusing:

HKT48's "Kataomoi no karaage" (Fried Chicken of One-Sided Love) to be used as the ending theme to My Little Pony in Japan

I've been translating this song because I'm in the AKB48 fanbase and the lyrics don't really seem suitable for My Little Pony, in that they're about a girl being in love with a guy and the one-sided love she feels for him. However, that's just how it's done in Japan (every animated show has an OP/ED theme done by actual artists, for the most part).

Personally I'm hoping this will alert at least a few MLP fans to HKT48 and the other 48 sister groups.

Oh and what the fuck, they got Inoue Kikuko to do Celestia's voice. XD (She's done many famous anime voices including Belldandy's from Ah! My Goddess)

It's a typical Jpop song really. I kinda like it. It's not false information, it's been confirmed by several sources.
It's only the ending theme and only in Japan anyway, so it's not really a problem.

I'm just wondering what happens when they get to the music elsewhere. If they don't hit "Babs Seed" out of the park (for example), something is very wrong.

I don't think we have to worry about it. As you may know, voice acting in Japan is normally top-notch. For those who might not know, a HUGE fucking part of their economy is based on things that are voice acted such as anime, vidya and visual novels, plus some other random stuff like drama CDs. And nearly all of their voice actors can sing quite well (though there are definitely still some few exceptions). It's nothing like the voice dubbing industry in America.

I think it'll be fine. I actually want to watch it in Japanese and see how they handle the lines and stuff... hearing the songs in Japanese will be interesting too XD

@Corrderio: Wow, they're making a Lyra figure o_O I guess that's not surprising considering how popular she is but did she even have lines in the show? lol
