Weren't con-goers basically already doing this? Even one of my friends has dressed up as a pony... a human version of one anyway. I mean, if you look at it that way, they're catering to a portion of people who are already interested in this kind of thing... maybe... and hey, now human-pony costumes can be canonized!
But yeah, it doesn't LOOK like it has many redeeming qualities. I just hope it doesn't drag the franchise down. People who don't like it can, hopefully, just try to ignore it. Too bad that's not always possible, though.

Have to agree with Silenka, best thing that could happen if it became a flop and/or as horrible as it sounds and looks would be that everyone who likes FiM just ignores it and carries on. But we'll see...
I still think that RD's skin color looks awful and smurf-ish. And just noticed that they kept the pony ears. I mean, sure, humanization, but why keep the ears? <.<
Did I post this one already?
Really like well-made piano covers of the songs, even though I try to play them and fail horribly each and every time xD

I'm guessing cinemas before DVD? Either way I'm going to wait for a YT/DM link or something and pretty much go in with zero expectations so I'm surprised if this surprises me by some miiracle.
