I had 0 expectations and yet, it still didn't meet them. Wow...

The only real pro I can say is the designs aren't those awful promo ones where they have their marks under their eye and whatnot, but the rest of it? Wow in the trailer they already have 2 of the typical teen cliches. The love interest, and the bitchy teen rival.

I don't think it could do anything to make fans not hate it just based on the premise. It could probably be an actually good thought-provoking movie and people would still hate it based on the premise.

They could of made like a 90 min episode of the show called it a movie, thrown in some new one shot characters and villains to sell new toys or whatever. Not even sure why they went with this. Would the kids that they are trying to sell pony toys too really like this stuff? Guessing this movie is the whole reason why S3 only had 13 episodes and seemed rushed.

But I would still watch it when someone puts it on youtube or whatever, totally going in with no expectations. Who knows it could be ok lol

The EG property is aimed for teenagers. Which to me explains a lot on why this looks terribad. Heck, I can't even think of someone that enjoyed their teen years.

EDIT: Just did some snooping. Limited release in theaters (as we all know) then later in the year will be premiered on the HUB with a DVD relese.

It actually looked better than I expected with the cutie-mark tattoos and other visual ideas we saw prior to this.

What's amusing to me is that after all the song and dance, they look like they went with the originally leaked visuals.

Ironically Peter Cullen has openly voiced his distaste for the brony community and doesn't understand us. I wonder how much money it will take for him to put in some voice work for MLP again, Captain Crabnasty or otherwise.
