I dunno, I still think the whole spinoff thing was just them being lazy and trying to milk FIM for everything it's worth. That and I never seen a spinoff to this degree ever succeed.

EDIT: Some good/bad news for On a Cross and Arrow/Whisper of Wind fans. Cogwork came broke the silence this month about his absence saying the reason for the lack of updates is because he's suffering from writers block. However, he also said he's not sure when he'll work on the fic again or if he'll ever update it. So cross your fingers.

So Megan said she's writing the S4 premiere and with that being said, why do people seem to hate her? Other than the S3 primere and EG I didn't think she was that bad. Not up to Faust/Larson tier, but not god awful either.

S3 premier wasn't even that bad. I don't think anything could have been able to follow such an epic finale. Nothing could have lived up to the hype.

I didn't like the last half because they did nothing with Sombra. He gets his body back for about 5 seconds before being destroyed again. Kind of lame for a villain.

Yeah, Sombra is easily the worst villain of the series by far, even Sunset Shimmer had more substance.

Do people hate Meghan? Ionno. She wrote Party of One and Lesson Zero, which are like, the two best damned episodes (only brushed against by Feelin Pinkie Keen, Mysterious Mare Do Well, and Read It and Weep). Maybe it's just bad EG blood. And yes, Sombra is ass. He was a broke ass Smooze that either smiled or grimaced depending on the situation.

I just don't even know if EG was even BAD. Well, it was bad compared to the rest of the series, but man, sometimes I'm into something on the computer and CN will start running Bratz movies or something behind me and I'll turn around to the most vapid shit. For the target demographic and the rest of the material in that same watershed, EG is goddamned Casablanca. I watched it online with my friend I watch ponies with, so we could be jerks and talk through the whole thing. Made so many dirty pony/incest jokes you don't even know. So really I did have FUN with EG. I just totally agree with the decision to treat it like an OVA and never mention it again.

I was practically doing the same thing, maybe not to the extreme you did. But oh man do we love to mock that scene in Luna's office.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe Megan took the show in a different direction after Faust left and that's one reason for the hate? I dunno. I never really cared too much about looking into the writing staff.

Even the writers have pegged him as the lamest bad guy they've made, a wannabe Sauron with no substance. My only hope for improvement is if they hand him over to IDW and say "You guys, make this awesome.". After all, they're fantastic at weaving some actual oomph into what were shallow even by cartoon standard characters and have been gradually subverting G4 with references to earlier-gen stuff.

Hopefully. IDW does do some neat stuff even though I don't like some of their ideas (Why for the love of god did they give Mando a cameo?) But they at least aim for the older audience unlike the show.

I really don't think he's that bad of a musician, but he is pretty insecure/immature about some of the stuff he does. I still can't believe he filed a copyright claim on one of Sherclop's videos just because they did a parody, cover, or whatever the hell it was of one of his songs when he does covers of the official songs all the time.

I'd prefer the term man the fuck up for some of the other stuff he did. That and a few other brony "celebrities" like DustyKatt after how he exploded at BronyCon.
