Sometimes I feel like that's what they tried to do with EG. I mean the overall plot felt like the S1 premiere, except bastardized to oblivion and back.

But they totally ignored what made FiM special- breaking away from the stereotypical girls show archetype.

I'd actually use that if I didn't have a story in the pipes called "A Royal Pain." Just need something that doesn't have royal in the title and can catch the attention of someone randomly browsing through stories. Yeah I know it's more of a Rarity thing with the Marshmallow, but it's all I could think of. Maybe mini-marshmallow?

I haven't determined a cutie mark yet, but I have the princess more reliant on her magic to establish her difference from Sweetie Belle. I might use that as a way for Rarity to figure out that she's not really her sister. Not sure yet though.

I figured there was a previous gen episode based on this idea. Surprised FiM didn't already do a story yet. The writers seemed pretty picky about what tropes to use and what to avoid. Still hoping they do a body switch episode in S4. Anyway, I got some good ideas from that. Thanks for the help.
