nnope. There once was someone who tested the difference between 1080p and 720p on a TV, and almost noone could see a difference between them. As long as the 720p-version is good quality you don't need the fullHD version.
Your statement would only be right for videos that were produced in 720p and then later upscaled, there's tons of Blueray discs where this was done <.<

Hmm, won't let me download... guess I have to get rid of my 720p files for it to re-download as 1080p. I'll just move them to another folder though, since I have the old version of The Last Roundup.

Must have been blind people, or a shitty tv. Or else, the 1080p was just upscaled from the 720p, in which case there'd be almost no difference. I'd check this, but you must have forgot to mention the source of this test. The better the source, the better the output.
