There is a MASSIVE (obviously) body of fanwork for MLP that I have not been following. I usually only look at what's posted here as examples of good stuff (and I don't always like it). Recently though, I've been wanting to get into it more.

That said, is there any website that has a list or something compiled, possibly categorically by medium, of really quality stuff that has come out of the fandom? Following links on youtube is really hit or miss and some pony sites just upload anything new whether it's passably decent or not. Any artist names I should be looking out for in particular in regards to videos and music?

I normally just go to Ponibooru, find the names of artists I like, then track them over Deviant. Though yeah, that site is pretty meh in terms of how it handles tags and crap.

Given that Hurricane Fluttershy was going to be a tough act to follow I lowered my expectations. CMC episodes are usually my favorite next to Fluttershy episodes, but it was still pretty weak. But the "squee" moments, call backs to smarty pants and Trixie, and Applejack/Big Mac's role reversal were funny as hell. It wasn't the worst episode, but it still wasn't the best. I was kind of hoping that the CMC would do a gossip story about Diamond Tiara (god I hate that bitch) to teach her a lesson. Did anyone else think that Featherweight was related to Horsepower? (steroid pegasus)

Surprisingly, I actually kind of liked this episode despite its featuring of the CMC, whose episodes I dislike most besides Pinkie's. There were a lot of funny scenes and facial expressions, even among the younger ponies. Honestly I prefer main cast episodes like most people, but there was enough of them in this ep to make it worthwhile.

I used to think like that, Pinkie used to be my least favorite main character too (next to rarity) and felt that the CMC were annoying at best. Eventually I came across some fanfics about Pinkie Pie that changed my mind. Next to Doctor Whooves, Pinkie has some of the the most mind blowing fanfics. The best one I read was about this: (spoiled for mindrape)

Eventually, the CMC started to grow on me too after Hearts and Hooves day. The season 2 format has made a few episodes a little bland for people who dislike certain characters, but that's what character development is for. But nothing will ever get me to like those bitches Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
