Sneak preview of "Inappropriate" - Chapter 2:

"Princess? I thought we were going on a picnic today."

"We're still going Twilight, I just wanted to give you a quick lesson."

"Awww, but you said no class today."

"Don't worry, I'll keep it brief."

In all of Equestria's beauty, there was one well known imperfection. A narrow ravine on the outskirts of a small town, still inside Canterlot's borders. The natural land formation, once a fertile gully had since dried up, leaving nothing but harsh winds that blew though its jagged rock walls. It served no purpose as it was just a blemish, a ghastly scar cutting through bountiful lands, begging to have relevance. For Princess Celestia, this imperfect blemish wold suffice for what she had planned.

With each hoof step, the winds grew stronger. The chorus of howls sent chills down the spine of a young Twilight Sparkle, making her feel uneasy the further she followed her mentor. Celestia, however, felt uneasy about the 'lesson' she had planned. This wasn't just a lesson for her young student, it was a lesson for herself as well. Finally reaching their destination within the barren maw, the sun goddess stopped abruptly and turned her attention to Twilight.

"Twilight, do you recall the philosophy of Parker the Sensible from last weeks lecture?"

Twilight sat down stroking her chin in concentration. Celestia could practically sense the little gears turning in her head, searching for the right answer. With Twilight, the sun goddess' patience had never worn thin as her number one student continued to prove herself time and time again.

"Sword, staff, and shield must be fine tuned like mind, heart, and body... um.. With great power ... comes great responsibility?" the filly answered, slightly apprehensive about her reciting.

"Very good Twilight!" the princess commented with an assuring smile. "Now for our lesson." Celestia added, gesturing behind her. Twilight Sparkle looked up at her 'lesson' and couldn't help but lament her concerns.

"My lesson is ... a rock?"

"Not a rock my student, a boulder. But that's not the point." The princess began walking past the lavender filly, never turning back to address her while speaking. "Over the centuries, that philosophy has been misconstrued, misinterpreted, into a perversion of a life lesson about restraint to take advantage of the weak willed. Always hold back, stay in control, never relax, even for a moment. Numbly going through life as a prisoner no, a slave to your royal obligations and duties..."

"...that's no way for anypony to live!"

The sun goddess took a short pause, clenching her eyes shut to hold back any further emotional outbursts. Once calm, Celestia glanced back to the young Twilight Sparkle, who couldn't help but cower from her teacher's unexpected passionate words. The sun goddess approached the disturbed filly, giving her a pat on the shoulder in reassurance before concluding her lecture, returning to a calmer tone.

"At times, it is a healthy practice to release one's inhibitions. As a reminder to the importance of responsibility. To always be restrained is to never exist. Which is what brings us to our lesson for the day. Twilight Sparkle, I want you to forget everything I've taught you about self control. Release everything you have within you, focusing it on that boulder."

Twilight gave a nod to her teacher and took a few steps towards the massive stone that blocked further advancement through the earthly scar. Past occurrences of her powers gone wild raced through the young unicorns mind. The princess was there to help her, to guide her. But the thought of unleashing what she's spent so much time learning to keep within seemed dangerous.

"Princess? Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"It's okay Twilight, throw everything you have at it." Celestia called out, peeking from a ditch she was using for cover. "Once Cloudsdale builds up a sufficient rainwater surplus, I plan to convert this area into a river."

Twilight turned her attention back to the boulder. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, a stream of etheral energy began to gather at the tip of her horn. The energy began to run wild, flowing through her hair, down her body and all around her, engulfing the unicorn in a brilliant dome of light. A cry of anguish echoed through the ravine as bolts of magical lightning snaked out from the increasingly unstable dome of energy where the filly once stood. Princess Celestia ducked down into the ditch, covering her ears seeking protection from the eruption of mystical energy her student released. Even with her ears covered, the explosion was deafening, silencing the gusts of wind that made their home within the barren walls. Once everything fell silent, the princess looked out from her hiding place to see a thick cloud of smoke and dust that blanketed over the results of her student's liberation. After a few moments, the little unicorn emerged from the cloud, approaching in a staggering daze.

"That ... was kind of ... fun ... can we do it agai-"

Twilight's eyes rolled in the back of her head just before she collapsed to the ground. Using her magic, the sun goddess scooped up her student, lying her across her back and took flight out of the ravine and towards the castle. Reaching a sufficient altitude, the princess decided to make a pass over the chasm. The once narrow scar was now a massive wound of an abyss complimented by a barren wasteland where grassy plains once were.

"Even if Cloudsdale gathered enough rainwater for several years, it still wouldn't be enough to fill this ... this ... ghastly gorge."

Confound these ponies, they drive me to write fanfiction.

No Trixie in this story. Twilight's parents might show up (if I can find out what her father's name is) and some awkwardness will ensue. The story is tagged "Romance" and "Dark" but it's a psychological thriller first and a romance story second. I'm just a bit worried about all the attention it got, it looks like it's the first one-way shipping story of it's kind. I even got the attention of the "Twilestia is Bestia" group.

Our reasoning behind this change is that we want to keep the quality of the stories on the site generally high. We don't feel that in-joke nor meta stories actually contribute anything to the site, and we certainly don't consider them "stories." To alleviate some inevitable questions about this stance, we are still considering ways to curb the amount of "trollfics" that get submitted to the site - however, that issue is simply not as easy to solve as this one.

We apologize if this is upsetting to any users, but we hope that this will encourage authors to write more "real" stories, instead of clogging the featured box with stories about the site and its users.

The story made perfect sense to me even not being in your group, aside from someone daring you to do it I wouldn't call it an 'inside joke'.

First off, before I explain the FiMFiction drama to everyone outside the loop, here's a new amendment to the previous rule:

While most of the users that commented on the previous news post seemed to be in support of our decision, there were a few dissenting opinions - less than I expected, but I definitely expected them. As we've said in previous news posts, the people who post on our blog are NOT indicative of even the majority opinion on the site. This is easily demonstrated when you imagine that even though most of the people who posted seemed to dislike meta fiction, it still gets a huge number of views and thumbs up, and is often featured. Obviously, there's a disparity there.

Now, we still aren't planning to lift the ban yet, however, I did have an idea for a compromise. Our primary issue with meta fanfiction is that it tends to clog the featured box every time it's posted, which basically means that legitimate fanfiction has no chance of getting up there. Plus, it leads to people purposefully vying for the featured box with their stories - there's even a story on the site with that exact premise. This is a huge problem in our eyes, and it's also incredibly cheeky.

The proposal, then, is that we (the admins) can "mark" certain fics so that they cannot be featured at any point. This would probably only apply to meta fiction, but could be a useful tool for other stories. This essentially allows metafiction to still be posted on the site, but frees up the featured box for legitimate stories. Since our primary goal with the featured box is for new authors and stories to be discovered (and NOT for users to vie for a position in it), we banned meta fiction so that it would continue to serve that goal.

So what do you think? Would this be a good compromise? Users who enjoy meta fiction (which we think is a good amount) and users who do not (which also appears to be a good amount) should both be happy with a system like this. It should be much easier to "ignore" this sort of thing if you dislike it.

Oh, and don't worry about this being extra work for us - our job is to make the users happy, and we're constantly striving to make as many people happy as possible. Of course, you can't please everybody, so this is a constant struggle for us. Let me know what you think about this proposal in the comments!

So where does my story come in with all this sh-stuff happening? Around the time I posted "Inappropriate" the feature box was clogged with trollfictions and metafics written with the intent of whoring attention to get featured. Hell, 3 of the featured stories were by the same author. Somehow my story got a huge spike in views within the first hour of it being approved and was stuck at the #6 spot (top 5 stories are featured) for ~3 days just behind the troll and meta stories. It was probably a good thing I didn't get featured since I'd probably implode from all the additional attention I would've gotten, but I digress. Anyway, in terms of the whole inside joke "circle jerk" stories, my story came from an inside joke, but it's not about an inside joke, which is what violates the current rules.
Also if you're curious about what exactly this inside joke behind my story is, basically I would ask advice to people on chat about random paragraphs I was working on, (like the infamous "shower scene" coming later) the cloppers kept asking me for the link to my story and everyone else kept asking "are you sure this isn't a clopfic?" So everyone thought and (still thinks) I'm writing a clopfic even though it's really a psych thriller with a teen rating with some light erotic elements from a cerebral standpoint and will probably push the envelope until the mods pressure me to rate it mature.

I think it'd be fine to upload, and if they reject it for that reason they're stupid.

I assume you were talking about Equestria Daily, right? EQD and FiMFiction are two completely different sites with their own different set of rules on fanfictions being submitted. The major difference is that EQD is a hell of a lot more strict on approving stories than FiMFiction. Last I checked, fictions that involve Humans/Bronies in Equestria, Rainbow Dash being mutilated/killed were recently added to their list of stories that will never get approved no matter how good they are. Aside from that, I've heard rumors that some of the mods approving stories are somewhat partial (god I hope no one from EQD is reading this) to certain stories about their favorite pony and those stories get bumped up to the top of the list. As far as "Inappropriate" goes, I'm not sure if it would get approved or not. Despite how good people think it is, I'm still my own worst critic and literally have zero confidence in anything creative I do.

I would imagine that many of you honorable Christian men and women would not know of this satanic piece of dog spit called My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic. You might be aware of the "innocent" television shows of the 80's and 90's, which were already teaching satanic rituals to young children, but this is truely an awful show, devoted to destroying our children's innocents.

1. Despite being a show intended for young girls it has an extremely large fan base of grown men, obviously this is the work of satanic witchcraft being used to manipulate the minds of good christian men.
2. One of the main characters of the show, named Rainbow Dash, is a disgusting piece of lesbian slime who has rainbow colored hair and enjoys nothing more than sports, athletics, and lesbian pony sex, which is consistently hinted at through the use of subliminal messages throughout the show
3. It advertises sorcery and witchcraft, with certain ponies using their evil zodiac symbols to perform all sorts of evil conjuration and other works of satan
4. It has an ability to transmit disgusting gory thoughts into minds of watchers, for instance, here's one innocently titled fan-made plot cupcakes

5. Worst of all it teaches young girls to go out and pursue a career and try to be survive on their own, when they should be at home, serving their husbands. This show shows female ponies owning their own businesses, running farms, and aspiring to be athletes, giving these young viewers the wrong impression on what they should be doing with their lives.
