I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back as a "6th Ranger" character if that's true. From what I've seen Trixie is probably the second most popular pony out of all the characters. (next to Derpy of course)
Also, I'm pleasantly surprised that Cadence isn't getting swept under the rug. A lot of people look at the royal wedding as a non-canon OVA, but it looks like we'll see more of her and Shining Armor. Never heard of Chrystal Ponies though. This could be interesting.

Hopefully since Cadence gets some airtime, so does Luna. Her role in the finale felt like a kick to the groin.

I'd like to see an episode about Celestia. There's a really, really good fanfic where she disguises herself as a normal pony to get away for a while. It's so well written that it could easily be an episode. Fans have been clamoring for episodes featuring the royal sisters for 2 seasons. It looks like a lot of season 3 is going to be about fandom nods. De Lancie is coming back, (probably not as Discord for maximum trolling) we're getting a "Scootasode," Cadence has been mentioned in the previews, more Derpy lines, and a possible Trixie return. More Luna and 'Tia doesn't seem too farfetched compared to everything else. But not getting my hopes up until I see it.
Despite all the stuff to look forward to, I'm actually pumped for Scootaloo's episode. So many questions need to be answered. (but probably won't be) I'll be satisfied if she learns to fly and maybe we find out that she's Cheerilee's little sister as a callback from G3.

Derpy was a big misunderstanding from all angles. But she's still a background character, so a few lines here and there wouldn't hurt. It's not like they were planning to make Derpy the 7th element of harmony in an epic story arc... right?

Yeh I've never understood that. You have to TRY to be offended by something like that. Everyone I've heard of who actually is cross-eyed, clumsy, or talks goofy was just delighted to have a character like them.

It really says something when South Park does a better job handling a mentally handicapped character better than MLP doing damage control for one that was misinterpreted to being mentally handicapped. Animation errors, mistaken gender, and bad editing. Derpy's creation has turned out to be one big derp.

DVD titled "Adventures in the Crystal Kingdom" confirmed to come out in early December. So I'm assuming the series will pick up again in late August/early September.
