Jags releasing David garbage
Guess so http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/d...terback-090611
Luke McCown starting now? Ugh. Terribad franchise is terribad.
Synopsis from Big Cat Country:
when the phrase "McCown had consistently been the best...quarterback" and your team is in the ellipses, you know you're awful. While it's a stunning move, it shouldn't be a huge surprise. Flat out, David Garrard was terrible in the preseason and throughout training camp. It's no surprise either that Luke McCown will be the opening day starter. McCown had consistently been the best Jaguars quarterback in training camp and in the preseason. Head coach Jack Del Rio often praised McCown for his play and general manager Gene Smith praised him unsolicited often.
There was even some rumors of Jacksonville Jaguars players, some on the offensive line, prefering Luke McCown to David Garrard. With the release of Garrard, they no longer have to pay his $8M salary.
Who needs a backup qb?
He said back up, not starter.
Jags just biding their time til they move to LA
I'm upset that I spelled "bagels" wrong in my haste.
Wow. Releasing Garrard? So I wonder who snatches him up? He's not.. horrible.
