He's a great ST player and a good blitzer.

He's a miserable cover CB and if Tramon Williams is hurt and he gets more playing time, it's very bad news.

Aaron Rodgers chides offseason workouts

Aaron Rodgers could barely open his mouth in his post-game press conference Thursday night before he essentially said: I told you so.

Three times in his press conference, Rodgers pointed out the Packers looked pretty decent on opening night despite the lack of the ever-popular player-only workouts.

“It was a good start for us,” Rodgers said. “I was going to ask myself, what would have happened if we had had offseason workouts? I mean, could we have started any faster and scored more points tonight?”

Rodgers delivered the line with his trademark flat sarcasm, expertly balancing between joking but meaning it. Then he ran the joke into the ground two more times like a friend trash talking when he knows he’s right.

I loved it. Rodgers had a great point, and it’s only fair that the media takes a little criticism with everything we dish out. Rodgers was having fun with the topic; that’s what we should want in our athletes.

I love his sense of humor.
