Anyone been reading the news lately? If this isnt a prime example of scare tactics propaganda, I dont know what is.

I think I'm one of the few that didn't know about it for most of the day. Our school purposely hid it from us, and I didn't know what happened until I got home at 4 in the afternoon and my mom asked me if i knew what happened. I was only in 6th grade though, so I guess they didn't want to tell us yet. I heard kids in the highschool had been watching it, so it was probably just because of my age.
I'm actually surprised that a lot of people knew what was going on while in school, I was in 5th grade and no one knew anything. I remember my mom came to the school that day just to see me and I couldn't figure out why, she just said something along the lines of "Some planes flew into buildings". By the end of the day there was a little talk that something had happened with planes, the kids had that part down, but until I got home and saw my family all huddled around the TV watching I really had no clue what had happened.
I was in 5th grade also. Came home, and was wondering why the fuck power rangers wasn't on.
I also remember at school kids were saying "OMG I HEARD THE BUILDINGS FALL FROM MY HOUSE!!"
I live less then 30min away from where the trade center stood. They had to tell us really; it be messed up not to, everyone in my school had someone that worked in one of the 7 buildings.
edit: I cant name one person that I went to school with(and talked to) that was not scared for someone. Friend/family member.
You decided to run for President?
In actuality, I'm a little tired of the 9/11 rhetoric. Everywhere on the radio all I hear is "9/11, the day that changed America forever" and "this tragic and infamous day".
First, nothing in America has changed... at least for the better. If anything, we're more "worse" than ever. Political parties are trying to divide the country and accomplish nothing, people are more bigoted than they were before, and unemployment is at an all-time high.
Yet people always act like we were unified by 9/11. Maybe for like, what, a month or two? Then it was back to typical American bullshit except News and Entertainment has been replaced by shit and reality shit. We're more uneducated and unhealthier than most every other non-third-world country's citizens.
But hey, at least we all agree that 9/11 sucked, right?
My dad: "did you hear about the planes crashing to skyscrapers in new york today?"
Me: "oh, no I didn't. So, what's for dinner?"
Also, I can't wait to fly to lapland tomorrow! Watching out for all the turbans in the vicinity.

Watching 9/11 specials always makes me want to shoot osama bin laden in the face....
I was at work. We had a radio up front and I heard about it from there. The owners of the company had left to go on a trip overseas that day so at first I thought it could've been a plane they were on (which turned out not to be the case). I called my mom a few minutes later and she told me about the Pentagon. I think my reaction to the whole thing was more "WTF" than anything else.
9/11 was a terrible day. it is one of the few days in my life I remember with complete clarity, and I think many other people feel the same way. I won't tell my story because why the fuck should you care what I was doing when I heard the news or how I reacted, but I will say that the people who lost their lives that day deserve respect and remembrance.
that said, holy shit is America obsessed with 9/11. it's scary how much we practically celebrate the day. I saw shit on yahoo about it starting on 9/1. like, really? we need to start remembering 9/11 ten days in advance now? what happened to "never forget" - if we haven't forgotten, why do we need to rehash it over and over? let's just let those memories lie in our hearts and minds as they should, instead of clinging to them as if those memories will serve as some sort of barrier between us and another potential terrorist attack.
of course, the people who are all about using fear to gain power are probably pretty happy right now, as they have been since the day the planes hit the towers.
tldr; mad respect for the fallen, but we don't need ten damn days of remembrance.
Every government has used terrorism and false flags to garner power. The only time people are willing to give up their rights, is when they fear for their life or safety. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods
