There are and will be more fake Clippers circulating on Pastebin and other forums; do not download them. Report them as abusive if possible.

Example of a fake:

Hey guys I had to remove my Final Fantasy XI Clipper program from ffevo because square enix has decided to file a cease and desist order. As such this is my final update to clipper. It may or may not break from any future updates and square enix is probably going to be more rigorously scanning for suspicious activity. With that being said, goodluck and thank you all for being so supportive of me over the years and it was a blast creating a program that helps you all within your Final Fantasy XI careers. Thank you.

Clipper does not use .NET Framework in any way and more than likely is a malicious program. The reason for this post is not to encourage cheating but warn people that do, so don't use this thread to complain that Clipper is cheating and whatever else you want to say about it.

As the new update approaches, I'm sure there will be more than just this Clipper circulating. Take this as a warning.

According to RedMage1993's topic on FFEvo, this guy is most definitely a fake.
He seems to have gone adding random people [likely from #FFXI and such] in hopes of getting people to download it.
For all I know it could be a safe version of Clipper, because I haven't downloaded it, but I'm not going to bother.

Out of curiosity, what is the general stance on the flee-tool/pos-hacking portion of Clipper here on BG?

For me it's in the black area under 'blatant cheating', but I've come across people lately who try to justify using it and pretend what they're doing isn't wrong. I can't tell if I'm in the minority that gives a shit when people abuse the tools in broad daylight, or if everyone else just accepted the fact and that SE will never do shit about it.
