I believe they call them, "perps". But yeah, what I'm saying is that the timing of the cease and desist is kind of weird. I don't use any of that stuff mostly because I'm too lazy to put the effort into getting it to work after each update, so it doesn't effect me much either way, but I was a little surprised at the flee hack talk being so honest. It's hard to imagine the two situations are entirely independent.

I doubt a lot of people use windower ONLY for macros.

Shit for a good 6 years I used it ONLY for window mode. First way before SE made one. Then because SE's one sucked balls. After that I fell in love with spellcast and the distance plug in but that's all I use. Well ok the thing that lets me see everyones hp/mp/tp boo hoo big hack

Outside of SE's windowed mode prioritizing keyboard input for itself when inactive for some fucked up reason, why exactly does it suck balls to you?

Had a really old computer and SE's version took up significantly more processing power. They might have fixed it since then idk but was enough for me to say fuck that.

Edit: Now it doesn't really matter. Sure I got a computer that can handle that and much more. But it is currently handling 3 accounts which SE's mode doesn't support lol

They have not fixed it. SE's windowed mode does add a noticeable amount of lag to the game, even on a modern PC.

Never even heard of Clipper hacks, and I only use bare bones windower. I dont even use Spellcast(too dumb to figure it out lol)

Same here. I don't even use windower macros or any of the addons. I think just timestamp, distance and chatlogger.

By making the most of your macro layouts as you can and not getting OCD about having to have a full gear-set precast/midcast swap for every single spell?

People would if the SE reinstated the monthly STF ban reports, but god knows they already learned they can make more money monthly by firing such a team and just letting the illegit users run wild as they have the past 8 months.

I don't care if you are limited by playing on a ps2/360(why?), but if you play on PC and willingly gimp yourself by not using extended macros, I would consider you a bad player. Especially if you are going to use windower in the first place(You would be insane not to honestly), that's just being lazy.

only reason I ever used them is because my husband was determined and made me mine. I still don't know wtf about them, and wouldn't have ever used them had I not been married to him.


[edit] to add to that the only windower addon I would hate to live without (and I threw a shit fest at Hyshio when I DID have to live without) was yarnball. Fuck windower macros, those I could live without even if it would make me "gimp". I wanted to rape small bunnies without yarnball though.

Windower and its addons allow you to do what you can already do in game without it; albeit quicker. Players communicate TP, you can manually change your gear prior to WS/spell, you can lot or not lot items etc.

You don't need to justify yourselves using windower.

Of course, tell anyone who actually uses something like clipper this and they'll always come back with an excuse. I'm expecting something along the lines of "well, I can run to that map if I went the slow way - i'm merely taking the faster way!"

Its old, been here before many many times and never changes.

When everything is said and done, the only cheats/bots that did damage to the population/game/community was probably claim bots, fish bots etc and the majority of users were (I assume) RMT. Not as important - since coming back to the game I don't see this been an issue. If people want to run somewhere faster its not hurting me.
