Xbox Live Banhammer Policy

I gave a friend my old Xbox when I got an Elite version about two years ago. He's recently modified the console and logged into Xbox live since he accidentally deleted his gamertag the other night. I've changed my gamertag via the official name changing method but there's still a copy of my gamertag with the old name on his xbox's harddrive. I was wondering if anyone here knew if there was any way I can possibly get banned for having that tag on his console if they do another sweep of bans.

It shouldn't as the ban is console specific. My gf and I use our same gamertags w/ a different xbox since our old consoles got banned.

You should be fine, they only ban gamertags in extreme cases, like if they catch you cheating multiple times, hacking your gamerscore and shit like that. Like Nik said they usually just ban consoles if they detect its modded, and you can still recover your gamertag after.
