So back in the day when I did a little job stint with UPS for Christmas delivery I road around and got to see how they delivered packages, and one thing I caught on to and was told by other drivers was that 90% of the time they will drop off most packages even if they require a signature, and usually will just write your name down on their tablet and jump back in the van.
Now skip ahead a few years, a friend was telling me that at one time UPS left a few of their computer components out on their porch, somewhere around 400$, in a pretty bad section of the town I used to live in. He found the package there and was pretty pissed off, so he took it inside, then called up UPS a few days later and told them he never got the package. After a bit UPS came to apologize for forging my friends signature on the package delivery slip and had to replace the parts (or so he said, never found out if it worked or not)
Has anyone else done this with UPS? I ask because my fiance just had 200$ worth of textbooks dropped off today, on the porch in the pouring rain and never was even given the chance to sign, hell the guy didnt even ring the doorbell. I was contemplating when I order a new mobo and RAM to just tell them I never got the RAM if they pull the same thing on me
