There is an event going on since yesterday that rewards players with a torm weapon (bound) that could easily give some folks a free point in their HoM. Check it out!

A better reason to do these quests is that it takes you to some of Guild Wars 1's more notable (and cool-looking) locations, lore-wise. Kind of a make-shift, rush-through history lesson just before GW2 is released.

If you collect them all, you get a tormented weapon. It's pretty nice for those of us grinding out HoM.

Need like 150k for the last two armor sets for 30/50. So if you have money lying around you don't need, any bit will help.

If you're in dire need of money, repeating http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Rise is a great way to make money. A static 1k + war supplies which sell (or sold) for decent amount adds up quickly. It also gives vanguard reputation. It's how I finished my 30/50. Once you get the hang of it, it goes by really fast.

So I got GW1 back before Gw2 was released with the intention of working on my HoM but never got around to it. I'm kinda feeling the itch to work towards one of those dragon swords. Currently sitting at 4 points (link+M.O.X.) what is the fastest way to grab the last 6 points I need?

Seeing the Flame Sword is only 10 points you are awfully close.

The first 10 points really requires zero help from others.

This is the guide I used when I got my 30 points. Its not 100% viable once you get past 14 points. The hard mode mission sets are not all that simple either though so 11-14 may be a little more difficult than it makes it out to be.

I will go ahead and suggest that GW1 is not as easy as you may think. Especially before you obtain a decent "team". So my suggestion is to go ahead and get yourself as many heroes as you can and create yourself a Discordway setup and you can pretty much walkthrough everything. The hardest things you will can get stuck on with this team has to do with Shiro.

The rest is all about making money.

If you really feel like putting some effort into it... AFK Farming Glint for cloth can produce some small semblance of money as well as getting you 5 more statues.

You probably know this already, but there's a blue version of the same sword that is easy to attain without having to play GW1. 1 Eldritch Scroll, 50 Mystic Coin, 100 Orichalcum Sword Blade, 50 Corrupted Lodestone
