You know these things don't have actual power laces right? Says so right on the ebay auction. They light up, don't know what else. Look retarded, maybe. Battery only lasts around 2000 hours lifetime, and not sure if you can replace.

I want a pair, but at these prices you won't see anyone wearing them. From what I read they are not even made to wear (aka they get torn up even with next to no use)

Hopefully they mass market them in 2015! (After adding the actual powerlace that nike pantented)

I think it's getting a little carried away. It's just a rumor right now that Nike intends to make cheaper consumer-level MAGs in 2015. Nike did patent the "powerlace" concept/technology, so people are just making an assumptions.

Dunno if I would spend the money for these if I had it tbh, any decent propmaker worth their salt could probably make one that laces by itself and not have to "wait" until 2015. But if it's for a good cause, meh.

so crazy to look back, when I was little I HATED taxi. my mom used to watch the reruns all the time back in the early 80s but I didn't get the jokes and grew up thinking it was a stupid serious show. Then when I was older, they had some on reruns again and my mom wanted to watch. At first I was thinking "not this fucking bullshit again" but I laughed so hard, I ended up watching a lot of that shit.

Above everything, it's nostalgia. The powerlace Nikes, the self-drying jacket, the hoverboard... Back to the Future 2 set a standard for what all 80s kids were expecting out of the year 2015, and now we're all adults, coming up on this inevitably unrealized dream. These light-up sneakers are a little more than just ugly.
