You know these things don't have actual power laces right? Says so right on the ebay auction. They light up, don't know what else. Look retarded, maybe. Battery only lasts around 2000 hours lifetime, and not sure if you can replace.

It's pretty awesome that he still gets out sentences reasonably like an "actor" - if you close your eyes it's almost like old Michael J. Fox again.
This is going to pull in millions. not one pair is under 2000? Wish more stuff like this would be done. (wish I could even pay the money to get a pair)
I want a pair, but at these prices you won't see anyone wearing them. From what I read they are not even made to wear (aka they get torn up even with next to no use)
Hopefully they mass market them in 2015! (After adding the actual powerlace that nike pantented)
<3 MJF so sad what happened to him. He always seemed like one of the nicest guys in hollywood.
Christopher Lloyd isn't looking too good either. ;; Ya ya he's old, expected, but still <3 him as an actor.
(favorite Lloyd moment)
I watched the video without sound at first, it's much worse.![]()
So the ones in 2015 will be push to lace and these aren't?
I think it's getting a little carried away. It's just a rumor right now that Nike intends to make cheaper consumer-level MAGs in 2015. Nike did patent the "powerlace" concept/technology, so people are just making an assumptions.
I've always thought my dad looked like Tony Danza. I saw a current pic of my dad for the first time in about 6 years and with age it's only intensified.
Dunno if I would spend the money for these if I had it tbh, any decent propmaker worth their salt could probably make one that laces by itself and not have to "wait" until 2015. But if it's for a good cause, meh.
I really miss Taxi. Though Party Down was like Taxi for a new era.
so crazy to look back, when I was little I HATED taxi. my mom used to watch the reruns all the time back in the early 80s but I didn't get the jokes and grew up thinking it was a stupid serious show. Then when I was older, they had some on reruns again and my mom wanted to watch. At first I was thinking "not this fucking bullshit again" but I laughed so hard, I ended up watching a lot of that shit.
I watched a lot of Nick at Nite growing up so Taxi was a big part of that.
The idea is amazing, for a good cause. (and i've been waiting all my life for shoes with lights to be socially accepted at the 20+ year old range) :3
This is such an amazing thread.

Above everything, it's nostalgia. The powerlace Nikes, the self-drying jacket, the hoverboard... Back to the Future 2 set a standard for what all 80s kids were expecting out of the year 2015, and now we're all adults, coming up on this inevitably unrealized dream. These light-up sneakers are a little more than just ugly.
oh man, you guys should watch the latest episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm
