looking forward to both!
but maybe X-2 moreso. i realize there was more depth to the games strategy than i bothered to take on some 10 years ago.

i too enjoyed X-2 a hell lot. It was.. a happy emotional game. and I think I liked it.

I haven't touched either FFX or FFX-2 since about 2005, so I'm very excited about this. But I definitely spent more hours on X-2... that battle system was so much damn fun. I also thought the story was pretty decent...but I was a sucker for that stuff back then. Finding out what happens to Shuyin and Lenne... oh the FEELS during the thunder plains song.
Definitely agree that it's embarrassing to play with people around though lol...

I didn't play X-2 for probably more than an hour because I couldn't stand the girly stuff (and I'm a girl.. go figure) but everyone who has played it love it so I'm going to try again! Really looking forward to both games.

Don't get me wrong, the game is littered with girlie stuff, BUT it really is overblown in the first few hours of play. Once you get past it, it's amazing. It honestly makes me a little sad because if the story had been more serious there's no doubt in my mind it would have been the best FF out of the series. Because outside of the story, everything else is done perfectly.

Since I got into FF really late, X-2 was my first FF and basically what got me into the series, so I'm most definitely looking forward to playing X-2 again. I've still yet to play X, mainly because I have no PS2, so I'm looking very forward to playing X for the first time as well, and see how annoying the Chocobo Racing and Lightning Mini-Game is for the first time.

I love X's opening..

Still love the music. I think it had the the first "metal-ish" I ever heard in a game

You don't play X-2 for the storyline, you play it for the game play. It has IMO one of the best battle systems and is strangely entertaining to play, so the storyline is forgivable

Hearing all the horror stories about it from a couple of pages back has me worried yet curious at the same time. Since I'm one of those people who likes trophies, I'm probably gonna cry if there's a trophy related to each one

If anyone remembers the Cat Nip exploit in X-2, that will most likely be gone in this release since it is the International version. >.>

It really isn't THAT bad. I think people are exaggerating a bit. I find them slightly annoying at their worst.

Well yes, Cat Nip will be nerfed in this version so forget about it. On the other hand you get a bunch of overpowered monsters lol.

I played the shit out of FFX trying to max my sphere grid, clearing crappy +1's and replacing them with +4's or whatever.

Didn't play X-2 as much from what I remember, but really enjoyed the battle system. That's it. Everything else was pretty bad. I almost relate it to what SO3 did to that series. It just felt like it bastardized the world that X took place in, and cheapened it a lot.

But then again I haven't played it since it first came out, which was a hell of a long time ago, so what do I remember. Looking forward to playing both games again.
