kinda saw it coming. when release is supposed to be 2013 and theres no release date even in August... and its not exactly a small title.
I'd think they'd give a release date at least 6 months ahead of time.

out of curiosity, would ps4 be able to play these games too, or do you need a vita/ps3? Was thinking of maybe getting a ps4 later, hopefully when price goes down, but dunno if it's backward compatible with ps3 games or not. >.>

Would need a PS3/Vita unless they've decided to announce a port for PS4 also. The cloud-streaming for PS3 games I don't see happening anytime in 2014 also.
Hope to see some news about the Vita version at TGS at any rate.

Would help if that giant picture wasn't marred by a fuckton of compression artifacts. Still extremely amateurish but even Kimahri fanfic writers would struggle to be enthusiastic about a muddy looking shot of a scene not rendered at 720p to begin with.

sauceFinal Fantasy X/X-2 HD will be available on December 26th, 2013 in Japan for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (sold separately). These definitive versions of both PlayStation 2 titles will receive updated textures and a remastered soundtrack. Additional content that was present in the International versions of both games will also be included — and yes, the Last Mission side game with Final Fantasy X-2 will come along as well.
Square Enix will also include the additional video content “Eternal Calm” which bridges the two games together, as well as a brand-new audio drama featuring the game’s original voice cast.
No release date for North America or Europe has been announced yet, but localization is already underway.
Square Enix has also re-opened their official site for the game here, featuring some new music.
