God, I forgot how rage inducing blitzball can be. Enemy with an endurance of 10 breaks through 2 of my defenders with 9 attack each? No problem, but me with an endurance of 15 gets the ball stolen by a single defender with an attack of 10. Computer passes a ball through 3 of my players, not a single one gets a hand on it to drop the passing number. Fucking Nimrook and his 18 catch stopping a 24 shot at point blank range, while Keepa gets scored against from a shot taken around the center line. Crap like this gets pulled all the time, especially if I manage to go into overtime. Computer gets the ball at tip-off and game over right there since I never get a hand on it again.

No wonder I have memories of constantly resetting player stats to get prizes to pop, along with the Jecht shot still having relevence.

My kingdom for some Level 3 unlock spheres. Been working some people to get these abilities and I can't find a fucking sphere. I've gotten 2 level 4's, I can endlessly farm level 2's where I'm at now, but can't get a single level 3. Though I'm sure I have missed 1 or 2 as I am trying to do my first play through blind.

Currently kicking myself for missing one of the missable al bhed primers. Gonna have to play through to Bevelle again just for one damn letter.

Other than that though, I'm enjoying everything about this game again!

I've gotten 2 level 4's, I can endlessly farm level 2's where I'm at now, but can't get a single level 3. Though I'm sure I have missed 1 or 2 as I am trying to do my first play through blind.

Farmed mine in Zanarkand, its an uncommon drop from whatever typically drops the lv2 spheres (the Haymaker / Blast Punch golem guys?). Rikku using Luck and Auron overkilling got me about 30 lv2 spheres and 12 lv3 spheres before I stopped.

Hmm, good to know. I'm saved right before the boss in there after completing the Tetris piece match game so I may run outside if it will let me and try farming them. According to Gamefaqs also it appears the first portion of inside sin you can farm them as well.

Omega dungeon farming Defender Z's, they're decently easy and spawn fairly often.

Don't bother farming in Zanarkand, just wait for Omega.

Animus's overdrive looks to been upgraded from 1 hit to 16 hits. Yojimbo also had his Zanmato buffed to nearly OP odds once you max reputation (from 10% to 25% I think). Kinda makes up for the Quick Hit nerf.

As for Blitzball I would recommend picking up Jamal in Luca as your keeper until you can sign on Nimrook. Only reason to keep the original team is if you're doing it for Aurouch reels or as a challenge. Grabbing Brother, Ropp, Jamal, Kiyuri, and Wedge makes things exceptionally better plus they are free agents so no waiting to poach. They make for a top-tier free agent team if you want to abuse resets for Wakka's unlocks.

Anima's overdrive is a International Edition change if I read right; definitely very OP, as soon as I unlocked Anima I maxed overdrive on a bunch of lowbie mobs in Calm Lands then rode to Requiem Temple for unlocking the Magus Sisters and Yuna's celestial weapon. My Yuna wasn't very strong yet and my Bahamut had to actually hit Belgemine's Anima several times before Mega Flaring for 25k-ish to finish it. I was concerned about Anima possibly not finishing off the Magus Sisters with an overdrive right off the bat and then giving them theirs in return, but the overdrive must've done 500k-1mil damage to the Sisters combined and I killed all 3 right off the bat.

Oh man, was kind of underleveled on Seymour Flux (cliff battle), got to Total Annihilation phase and was going to have an Aeon eat that attack to not die. The turns went Yuna -> Seymour -> Mortiorchis. Summoned Aeon -> Banish -> Total Annihilation -> Game Over. What a dick.

I had totally forgotten just how horrifyingly overpowered mount zanarkand and the ruins that follow were, haha. memories coming back of those dick bombs and imps totally annialating my party without effort, and having to spend hours near a save point leveling up till i could handle a few parties of mobs wthout instantly dying. XD

For Yuna I know I need to get all the summons, and Anima you have to get the treasure from each aeon's cave. I know I missed at least one, is there a way to verify which ones you missed, and I'm assuming I'm going to have to defeat the dark aeon's to get back in there?

The only way is to go to Baaj temple and see which sphere doesn't lit up. The only temples that are blocked by Dark Aeons are Besaid (Valefor) and Macalania (Shiva). Bevelle's temple cannot be entered again but it's also impossible to miss the treasure sphere there. Either way if you're missing one it's likely Zanarkand because you can't get the treasure when you go there for the story, you have to go back when you get the airship.

The first chest is the one needed. The other chest from pushing the pillar to the left isn't needed. It was a decent spear for kimahri though

You can use Zanmato if you don't wanna grind. It works on all Dark Aeons+Penance.

It takes alot of gil and you'll get screwed over by Dark Yojimbo because you need to defeat him multiple times.
